My name is Sucharita, a Pillai Center Teacher and your guide in this Weekly Call Program called Sundays with Sucharita. I’ll be giving you insights, tips and tools for getting the most out of your spiritual practices and how to apply those teachings in your daily life. I’m always happy to share what I’ve learned during the past 17 years as a student and mentor of Dr Pillai’s programs offered through Pillai Center and AstroVed Advisory Services. If you’re not able to join every week, there will be recordings of the calls and other weekly teachings made available for you to download on the Pillai Center Blog under the Sundays with Sucharita tab. It’s up to you how often you’d like to join the calls, although as Dr Pillai shares, it is important that everyone establishes a regular routine to enjoy the benefits of the teachings and services offered. It is a pleasure to be of service and I’m looking forward to sharing in your weekly transformation process. See you on Sundays! Sucharita

Get Ready for the Goddess

durga108

We are just emerging from an intense Pradosham (13th Moon) and this is a time we can use to wipe out karma by worshipping Shiva. She reminds us that since yesterday was Saturday, as well as the 13th Moon, things may have been a bit of a frustrating time because Saturn rules Saturday and Saturn doles out karma!  Things do not “happen” to us and people do not “do things” to us, we are the creators of everything that happens in our lives. Dr. Pillai has given us the tools and techniques of how to re-create our realities.  We can use these tools to by-pass our karma.  He gives us methods to detour around the train wreck that may be coming ahead of us and to go smoothly on our way.  Sucharita says that we don’t have to wait for the 13th Moon to experience Pradosham because there is a Pradosham every day about 1 ½ hours before and after sunset when we can propitiate Shiva.

And now today is the 14th Moon, Ganesha’s time.  Ganesha is the elephant-headed God who is the remover of all obstacles, seen and unseen.  What can we do on this day?  Smash a coconut!  Visualize putting all your obstacles in this coconut and then offering it to Ganesha, smash it!

Also, we have just experienced a Maha Shivaratri, the Great Night of Shiva, a night to call upon the Archetype Shiva during his descent to the earth plane for prosperity, fulfillment of wishes, removal of sins, disease and debts. This was an opportunity for new things to begin to happen.  Shiva can destroy the negativity in our lives and clear the way for new manifestations.  There is a Shivaratri every month on the 14th Moon when we can honor Shiva.

The New Moon will be coming up tomorrow.  The New Moon is time to propitiate the ancestors.  We carry the spiritual DNA of our ancestors, so it behooves us to help them to move to higher realms.  This is a time to dive deeply inside and offer the ancestors rice powder and black sesame seeds to nourish their spiritual bodies and give them the energy they need to move along.

Sucharita tells us that every single one of us on the planet has own own valid spiritual destiny and that each path is legitimate. She says that we should each have a sacred space where we do our spiritual practices that we should keep this space private. It is not good to have others touching our spiritual objects.  Keep your altar clean and neat.  Take cues from the deities on your altar and put their statues and pictures where they want to be! This can be fun and you get to spend time with your deities!

Sucharita mentions a fantastic new service that Dr. Pillai is offering through AstroVed called KALKI KARUPPASWAMY LOVE AND RELATIONSHIP SOLUTION PACKAGE.This is a Divine Technology for Repairing or Bringing Love Relationship.  This is a program where Dr. Pillai has designated a channeler of the archetype Karuppaswamy who can immediately help you with your earth plane challenges. Read more.

Sucharita gives us a heads up that Akshaya Tritataya, a time of GOLD, is coming up on April 28th! This is a here Grand Royalty Wealth Day. Learn more it here.

Sun Transiting Pisces

shutterstock_medit1_flipped

On March 13, 2017, the Sun entered the mystical sign of Pisces. You can expect many opportunities this month for deep meditations and participation in Vedic ceremonies.

Pisces, called Meena in Sanskrit, is the most mystical and transcendental of all the signs, giving you the ability to go beyond the limitations of ordinary experience. Pisces is a water sign ruled by the 200% planet Jupiter. This zodiac is symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions in the sea of consciousness. Swimming in opposite directions means ending duality. A fish symbolize fertility & prosperity.

As the natural 12th house of the zodiac, Pisces is associated with liberation and losses. Liberation can mean freedom from karma and limitations…enlightenment.  Loss could mean expenses, wasting time and energy, or any type of loss. Although we mostly think of loss as negative, it could be positive if you lose your limited self and ego. On a practical level, be careful to keep your expenses down and not to overspend. Do service by helping people this month however you are able.

The 12th house is associated with foreign countries and places of solitude like ashrams, hospitals, and jails. It also relates to long distance travel. In a foreign country, you may feel more uncertain and have to depend more on intuition. Pisces can help you develop your psychic powers.

The 12th house is associated with sleep and with sexual activity. This month could be a good time to celebrate your sexual powers, perhaps by learning some tantric yoga. Pay attention to your dreams and see what messages come to you. If you have trouble sleeping, take it as an opportunity to get up and meditate during the quiet of the early morning hours.

Venus and Mercury are also transiting Pisces – Venus is exalted and Mercury debilitated so they will balance each other out a bit. Having a strong Venus should make it a good time to enhance your connection with the Goddess during Vasanth Navaratri. With Mercury rather weak and confused, be careful with communication and technology.

Sun will transit the following nakshatras (birthstars) within Pisces:

Purva Bhadrapada March 4th – March 16th
This is Dr Pillai’s own birthstar, and it gives the fire to a worshipper up in life and the power to raise the evolutionary level of the world. It is associated with purification through fire and penance. Purva Bhadrapada’s symbol is the front two legs of a funeral cot. Purva Bhadrapada can help you become purified and on fire with divine consciousness.

Uttara Bhadrapada March 17th  – March 30th
Uttara Bhadrapada is the second half of the pair with Purva Bhadrapada. They are sometimes called the “scorching pair”. Uttara Bhadrapada is associated with the kundalini energy. It also contains the cooling energy of water which balances out the fire. Uttara Bhadrapada can help you remember the big picture as you apply determination to reach your goals and increase your intelligence through spiritual practices.

Revati March 30th – April 12th
Revati is the last nakshatra and is said to contain energies from all the previous 26 stars. It is a star of wealth and nourishment. Revati can give you the ability to help others and also to enjoy a good social life.

Favorable Activities

  • Enjoy meditating and participating in the many Vedic ceremonies this month. Go inside and discover the Kingdom within you. If you can, visit a spiritual power spot, go on a retreat, or enjoy extra quiet time.
  • Access your intuition and receive guidance about what goals to focus on starting when the Vedic New Year starts on April 13th. Prepare yourself for the action-oriented month of April 13th – May 14th when the Sun will be in Aries.
  • Be careful not to overspend time or energy. You may want to make a charitable contribution and pay off some of your debts.
  • If you start feeling isolated or ungrounded, reach out to others, walk in nature, exercise, and possibly do some charitable work to help others.

Important Upcoming Events This Week: Check the Pillai Center and the AstroVed Event Calendars for other upcoming events. Depending on where you live, the day of the week will be different.  Check the Panchang with your location to see when you should be observing the rituals.

Sunday, Mar 19th @10:49 PM EDT
8th Moon – Timeline Jumping
Kala Bhairava has the ability to dissolve repetitive negative patterns that result in procrastination, lethargy, anxiety, and lack of motivation. Kala Bhairava makes you value your time so you can make the best use of the opportunities at hand and maximize gains.

There will be an Interactive Fire Lab performed for this Archetype Kala Bhairava On Monday, March 20. The Moon rules Monday and will be in the star of Jyestha. This reddish star is called the “heart of Scorpio.” Jyestha is known as Antares in astronomy and is a huge star. If you placed Jyestha in our Solar System where our Sun is, its body would reach past the Sun, Mercury, Venus, the Earth, Mars and half-way out to Jupiter. The intensity of the Moon in this star will greatly amplify prayers to Kala Bhairava. He is associated with the 8th Waning Moon, a phase active during the Fire Lab.  Learn more.

Monday, March 20th
Vernal Equinox-First Day of Spring Northern Hemisphere
Autumnal Equinox-First Day of Fall Southern Hemisphere
This is the day when the Sun crosses the plane of the Earth’s equator, making night and day of approximately equal length all over the Earth. It is the Vernal Equinox or Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and Autumn Equinox in Southern Hemisphere.

Thursday, March 23rd  @3:57 AM EDT

Know Your Life Purpose

shutterstock_100248578resized

Recently many people have been pondering what their real purpose in life is.  She tells us that the purpose of life is TO LIVE, TO BE ALIVE!  We reminds us the reason that we are here together on this call, with Dr. Pillai, studying his teachings, is that we want to know more about our real purpose of life.

Dr. Pillai is teaching us to be present in the NOW and giving us the tools that we need to make the most of our time on the earth plane.  One of the tools that we have been given is the Panchang available on AstroVed.com. This is a calendar of sorts that tells us which planets and stars are offering us energies at any particular hour, day, month and year.  Once we become aware of these time slots (shaktis) and the energies that are active, we can harness time!

Sucharita mentions a book that Dr. Pillai has recommended in the past.  “Screw it! Let’s Do It!” by Richard Branson.  The book talks about cultivating the mentality of enjoying every moment and cultivating the ability of having multiple streams of income by getting out of the ego, forgetting the problems of the past and getting on with the present to improve our future!

Sucharita gives us a couple of things that we should be doing even before we get out of the bed in the morning.  We should concentrate on the base of our spine and visualize and propitiate Ganesha, the Remover of all Obstacles.  This is one of the places where Ganesha resides.  Also, concentrate on the throat.  The throat is where the karma can get stuck.  Visual your throat as blue and chant “Thiru Neela Kantum”.  Then, imagine the third eye which is the pineal gland, and the energy that comes up the center of the spine.

Important Upcoming Events This Week: Check the Pillai Center and the AstroVed Event Calendars for other upcoming events. Depending on where you live, the day of the week will be different.  Check the Panchang with your location to see when you should be observing the rituals.

Ganesha’s 4th Moon
Remember that Dr. Pillai has said that 2017 is continuing to be a year of Ganesha.  Ganesha is especially very powerful and present on the 4th and 14th moon phases. Call on him to remove your obstacles by chanting his mantra, Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha. Roll and break a coconut or lime(s) to remove obstacles and karma.  Learn how. AstroVed will be offering a special Fire Lab on this day to Aadi Ganesha, the human faced Ganesha. Learn more. Also there will be an Emergency Karma Clinic to remove stubborn karma on this 4th moon.

8 Priest Grand Ashwamedha Chanting Followed By Bhagya Suktam Homa

In Sanskrit the term ‘Ashwam’ means ‘horse’ and ‘Medha’ means ‘to offer’. In the Vedic tradition, the Ashwamedha mantras are one of the oldest and the greatest set of Vedic mantras. When chanted by qualified priests, these mantras can bestow power, royalty, purity, prosperity and grace, the qualities represented by a horse. The Vedas prescribe the ritual to be performed as Ashwamedha Yagna (Fire Lab to Gain Universal Sovereignty) for a King to gain ultimate power, status, wealth and authority as a high King. This elaborate and complex procedure has been converted into modern-day practice as Ashwamedha chanting. There is a fire lab offered by AstroVed for this special occasion. Learn more.

Enjoy this week’s Meditation AudioWe visualized a white horse in our meditation.  The white horse symbolizes wealth for royalty.
