Sun Enters Libra

Sun transits into Libra on Sunday, October 16th and will continue there until November 15, 2016. The Sun signifies your physical health, vitality, self-esteem, father, and even your soul. Sun doesn’t feel comfortable in Libra. It is his debilitation or lowest power position. It’s like he falls down to earth during this month. The good thing is that this is an opportunity to get to know Sun more and build a better relationship with him. Libra is an air sign ruled by Venus. Venus is a luxury-loving planet of love, beauty, the Goddess, and the arts. And wealth. Libra can bring blessings of being popular, peace-loving, and having harmonious relationships with others. Libra is called Tula in Sanskrit. Libra is a sign of harmony and balance. Libra’s symbol is a man in a bazaar, or open-air market, with a scale in his hand. The symbol shows how Libra energies support business, negotiation, and finding balance. This can mean finding win-win solutions that benefit everyone, being successful in business – putting together a good deal, and being diplomatic. As the natural 7th house of the zodiac, Libra is all about creating and maintaining relationships. This involves compromise and balancing the needs of each person involved. Learning to stay balanced is a big theme. Libra is the halfway point through the zodiac. Libra can also lead you to develop a strong relationship with the Divine through love and devotion. But don’t try to please everyone, or compromise your core values too much. In negotiation, you have to know what the minimum deal that would be workable for you and be able...

Sun Enters Aquarius

The Sun entered Aquarius on February 12th, 2016 and will travel there for the next month. Known as Kumbha in Sanskrit, Aquarius is the most humanitarian of the signs. A humanitarian is someone who works to make other peoples’ lives better. The Sun is your soul and the activity you do in the world. Aquarius is ruled by Saturn, a planet of patience and endurance, limitations, compassion and service. Saturn can bring in limitations and blockages. But he can also teach you to have compassion and he can gift us with true happiness. Kumbha is symbolized by a person bearing an empty water pot. Water symbolizes prana, or the cosmic life force. The fact that the pot is empty means that the person has shared with others. The pot can symbolize the individual consciousness; in Aquarius, the individual energy can merge with the universal energy. Aquarius relates to ending the old way of doing things and birthing a new way of life. An important goal here is to turn away from selfishness and dedicate our efforts for the common good. Aquarius can give you the ability to be noble, selfless, generous, and willing to help others. Innovative thinking, science, and technology thrive here. Science is associated with Aquarius as Saturn is a planet of democracy. Science is often quite democratic, or “of the people” because it works for everyone. Electricity or an electronic device will work for anyone who has access to it. Aquarius can give you the impulse to work hard to help downtrodden and suffering people to come up in life. Saturn is associated with laborers and...

Vedic Winter Solstice

This week Sucharita urged everyone to continually keep the “attitude of gratitude and positivity!” When we complain and see the negativities in our lives, then that is exactly what we create! Allow yourself to go deeper in your practices and let go of all that you think is holding you back. Then start taking the steps that you need to take to attain that what you want. Get prepared and it will happen. Write your goals down, keep a journal, make a vision board – do whatever you can to remember your goals. All these steps are preparatory to manifesting your desires. Then you will be ready to accept the things that will come to you. Read about the Rahu/Ketu Transit on AstroVed, where remedies and a Rahu/Ketu Transit Report are available. Free general predictions are available too at the link above. You will be able to see how this transit is going to be impacting your life as the weeks and months go by. This is a big and important transit and we should be aware of what’s coming up so we can be prepared. Ketu rules Aquarius and this will bring in the energy of healing to the whole planet. Things will start being revealed all over the earth that will improve our situations. Rahu is moving into Leo and this means that these changes are going to be happening in a big way. The Sun will enter Capricorn on January 15th IST, and this is called the Vedic Winter Solstice. As the Sun starts to move northward in the zodiac, it signals the end of darkness...
