General Travel Information

You are responsible for booking your international flights.

You should arrive at Chennai, India anytime after 10.00 AM on January 23rd, although check-in is only at 12 noon. The formal program begins 7:00 AM on January 24th. You will depart from Bangalore (Bangalore Airport) on January 31st no earlier than 9:00 PM.

As soon as you book your flight, kindly send us your official Flight Itinerary received from the airlines or the travel agent.

This information is needed by January 1st to arrange your pick-up and drop-off at the airport upon arrival and departure.

As soon as you pay the Trip Deposit, kindly send us Scan or Photocopy of the Front Pages of your Passport.

This information is needed for the hotels.

What's Included in Your Trip Fee

I. Pick up from Chennai Airport on January 23rd no earlier than 10.00 AM

Pick-up from Chennai airport, guides, temple fees, hotels, transport by bus, internal flights and meals.

If you arrive at 10.00 AM or later on Jan. 23rd, you qualify for a group pick-up from the airport and the regular 12 noon check-in at the hotel (we will try for early check-in, but cannot guarantee that).

If you arrive any earlier than 10.00 AM on Jan. 23rd, your pick-up from the airport will be an additional fee to you and the hotel will charge you an additional overnight (i.e., for Jan. 22nd).

II. Drop off at Bangalore Airport on January 31st no earlier than 09.00 PM

Drop-off at Bangalore airport. If you depart by 09.00 PM or later on Jan. 31st, you qualify for a group drop-off. If you depart earlier than 09.00 PM on Jan. 31st, your drop-off at the airport will be an additional fee to you.

Any arrival or departure outside of the above parameters will require separate accommodations and additional fees will apply.

III. Hotel accommodations during the ‘2012 Birthday Trip’ (January 23rd to 31st)

If you arrive before 10.00 am on Jan. 23rd and depart after the recommended dates, you will need to pay additional fees directly to the hotel.

IV. Meals during the ‘2012 Birthday Trip’ (January 23rd to 31st)

You will be served Lunch and Dinner on Jan. 23rd, and Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner during Jan. 24th to 31st.

IV. Travel during the ‘2012 Birthday Trip’ (January 23rd to 31st)

Your travel during the Trip (domestic flights, coach buses, and so on) is included in your Trip Cost.

Important! Baggage Allowance (Domestic Flights)

You will be traveling inside of India on 1 domestic flight. There is a limit on size and weight (20 kg/ 44lbs) for the bags.

In order to ensure that you are able to carry everything you need during the Trip, please bring:

• 1 MEDIUM SIZE BAG or SUITCASE that you can check-in with the airline
• 1 SMALL BAG (small backpack or duffle bag that is small enough for the overhead compartment or under seat stowage) that can be used as carry on

American citizens needing to obtain a passport can get information:

Who needs a Visa?

Please check with the Indian Consulate nearest to you for details on how to obtain a Tourist Visa. Kindly carefully check the current rules regarding the use of that Visa - as rules change often.

If you will be travelling to India less than 2 months prior to the start of the Trip, you may need to obtain special permission for the Visa.

If we have your VISA details in advance, the check-in process will be quick and easy. Please send the following VISA information: Visa No., Visa Issued By, Visa Issue Date, Visa Valid Till.

Cancellation Policy

Trip Deposit is non-refundable.

If you cancel anytime before or after the Trip begins, we will refund 50% of the Trip Fee.
