This week we have many things going on: 11th<\/sup> moon, 12th<\/sup> moon, 13th<\/sup> moon, 14th<\/sup> and full moon.\u00a0 This is a period of waxing moons (from the new moon growing to the full moon) which means we can concentrate on adding things, (watch what we eat though!), and a period of growing our abundance, health and relationships.\u00a0 The moon<\/strong> represents the mind.\u00a0 Whatever we see or think is in our minds.\u00a0 The moon controls our desires, so we must be selective about our desires.<\/span><\/p>\n

We acknowledge Vishnu<\/strong> on the 11th<\/sup> moon, chant \u201cOm Namo Narayanaya.<\/em>\u00a0 Vishnu’s and Lakshmi’s<\/strong> energies are available to us on the 11th<\/sup> and 12th<\/sup> moons.\u00a0 These are the gods that are in charge of abundance, so it’s a great time to manifest and get the blessings of wealth consciousness.\u00a0 Chant \u201cShreem Brzee<\/em>\u201d for Lakshmi every day!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 13th<\/sup> moon is Pradosham<\/strong> time, a time to bust karma.\u00a0 This is a window to throw out doubts!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

By the 14th<\/sup> moon, we come to the realm of Lord Ganesha<\/strong>, Remover of all Obstacles<\/strong>, seen and unseen.\u00a0 Access Ganesha’s energy for protection- he will run interference for you!\u00a0 Dr. Pillai tells us to pray to Ganesha before we even get off the bed each morning.\u00a0 Chant his seed sound \u201cGum Gum Gum<\/em>\u201d.\u00a0 The comes the full moon<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This full moon is special and called Chitra Purnima<\/strong>.\u00a0 This is a time to get blessings from Chitragupta<\/strong>, the lieutenant of the God of justice and dharma (duty), Yama<\/strong>.\u00a0He maintains the good and bad records of everyone on earth in a heavenly database known as the \u2018Akashic Records<\/strong>\u2019, which is your divine personal logbook.\u00a0 When we propitiate Chitragupta, he will free us up from negative congested energy.\u00a0 The first full moon of the new Vedic year is always Chitra Pournami.\u00a0 We can create and manifest new beginnings at this time. He especially takes care of Ketu afflictions. Ketu is the shadow planet who\u00a0 rules the Nakshatras of Ashwini, Magha and Moola.\u00a0 Participating in Chitra Purnima<\/a> also helps if your are running Ketu as your major or minor planetary influences.\u00a0 Ketu is associated with the ancestors.\u00a0 AstroVed has free report which tells you what your Nakshatra<\/a> is and what planets<\/a> you are running.\u00a0\u00a0 Learn more<\/a> The full moon is a time to donate to the needy and hungry.\u00a0 Feeding the hungry is the most blessed and spiritual thing one can do. Narasimha appears as fire; he\u2019s half lion, half human, very frightening look. Even the God of Death is afraid of him. If you pray to him, he will protect you.
