Namaste fellow spiritual travelers!\u00a0 Sucharita greeted us on the December 15, 2019 Powertime Practice<\/strong> call. Sun has just transited into the 9th<\/sup> house, Sagittarius, which is all about looking up to a higher spiritual reality. Honor your father and your spiritual teacher. Partake in holiday traditions and high spiritual teachings. Take some action for compassion by donating to charity or otherwise helping those in need.<\/p>\n

Dr. Pillai teaches us that we carry the karma from all our ancestors who have come before us and he gives us the tools and techniques to remove this karma.\u00a0 It is so important to honor our ancestors and an easy way to do this is to perform a ritual called \u201ctarpanam<\/strong>\u201d.\u00a0 Tarpanam consists of putting rice flour, black sesame, and a coin in the right hand while dribbling water over this concoction, asking the ancestors to accept this offering.\u00a0 Face south or east and make a prayer to the ancestors, offering forgiveness and love and urging them to cross over the river into the light where they can bless us from the higher realms.\u00a0 Do this every day during the daylight hours only.\u00a0 AstroVed.com and Pillai Center also have Vedic specialists who will do this on your behalf. At this time of year the gates of heaven<\/a> are going to open up.\u00a0 Vishnu<\/strong> is the god in charge of sustaining heaven and earth and he can help us fulfill all our desires, especially at this time of year.\u00a0 The 11th<\/sup> moon happens twice a month, but this next 11th<\/sup> moon is called Vaikunta Ekadasi<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 Out of 24 Ekadasis in a year, Vaikunta Ekadasi is special as Vishnu, the Supreme Archetype of Wealth, opens the vault of heaven allowing you to access a powerful energy that can help you change your financial mindset.<\/p>\n

Write down what you think a little piece of heaven would look like to you.\u00a0 This is a great time to work on a Vision Board<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Put pictures of what you want on the board, write words that remind you of what you want to manifest.<\/p>\n

The 13th<\/sup> waxing moon is the time to \u201cbust\u201d our karma.\u00a0 This time is called Pradosham<\/strong>.\u00a0 When it occurs on a Thursday it is called Guru Pradosham<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 Guru Pradosham is a fantastic opportunity to reset your life. Spiritual practices on this day can clear previous negative karma that has been blocking the blessings or grace of your Guru reaching you. This Pradosham window is your chance to open yourself to fresh teachings or lessons from teachers, educators, mentors, or wise persons who can counsel you.<\/p>\n
