Namaste fellow spiritual travelers!\u00a0 Sucharita welcomed us on the Powertime Practice<\/strong> call on July 20, 2019.\u00a0 We are here together from all corners of the earth to share the teachings of our guru, Dr. Pillai<\/strong>.\u00a0 Last week was Guru Purnima<\/strong> or Full Moon of the Guru<\/strong>.\u00a0 Guru means \u201cdispeller of darkness\u201d.\u00a0 Anyone who tunes into this energy will benefit!\u00a0 Dr. Pillai says that it is very important to stick to our spiritual path because all things on this earth will pass, but our spirit carries on. Our bodies die, but impressions of our past lives or karma, follow the soul into the next body.\u00a0 We are here with Dr. Pillai to get rid of our karma, by learning our karmic lessons.\u00a0 This life is the ultimate journey and we are here to learn how to navigate this path.\u00a0 We are so lucky to have found a Satguru<\/strong> in Dr. Pillai to guide us.\u00a0 He is here to help us no matter what religious or spiritual path that we may follow.\u00a0 He will help us to be at the right time, at the right place to benefit from the phases of the moons and stars<\/em>.\u00a0 Since we have a physical body, we will have emotions and we are always bumping up against ourselves!\u00a0 Wherever we go, there we are!\u00a0 LOL!<\/span><\/p>\n

Sucharita tells us there are 4 numbers that are important this week-4, 6, 8, 10.\u00a0 These are the phases of the moon this week.\u00a0 Today is the 4th<\/sup> waning moon<\/strong> called Sankashti<\/strong> Chaturthi<\/strong>.\u00a0 Ganesha<\/strong> rules the 4th<\/sup> moon<\/a>, and Saturn<\/strong> rules Saturday.\u00a0 How can we propitiate Ganesha on the 4th<\/sup> moon?\u00a0 We can chant his seed sound-Gum Gum Gum<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 The mantra is the being!\u00a0 Ganesha <\/a>is the Remover of all obstacles, seen and unseen.\u00a0 A good thing to do is to take a coconut which represents our brain.\u00a0 Roll it around our body, our head, or simply hold it in our hands.\u00a0 There are no hard and fast rules. Then smash the coconut!\u00a0 This gets rid of bad karma and bad thoughts.\u00a0 You can do the same thing with lemons and limes.\u00a0 Cut the fruit and discard it after rolling it all over your body.\u00a0 A yantra<\/strong> or a statue of Ganesha can help you do to connect with him.\u00a0 Dr. Pillai says that a yantra is a machine that can work for you.\u00a0 You can just take a drop of water and drip it on the yantra or statue. The Ganesha Yantra is usually made out of copper sheet with geometric patterns engraved on it. This gets us on the same wave length of these being!\u00a0 Ganesha helps us to experience success!\u00a0 He resides in the Muladhara<\/em><\/strong> or base chakra.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 6th<\/sup> moon<\/strong> will start on Monday.\u00a0 Muruga<\/strong> rules the 6th<\/sup> moon.\u00a0 Muruga is the brother of Ganesha and is represented by a spear called the Vel<\/strong>.\u00a0 The vel represents your shushumna<\/strong> which is a hair-like channel that runs along our spine.\u00a0 His vehicle is a peacock, which represents OM<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 He is a spiritual warrior and is associated with the Pleiadian<\/strong> energy.\u00a0 He gets rid of diseases and roots out negative karma.\u00a0 He goes to war for us.\u00a0 He can help with law suits.\u00a0 He can clear the 2nd<\/sup> chakra<\/strong>, the chakra of creation and also the chakra of money.\u00a0 This chakra or svadhisthana<\/strong> chakra is associated with water. This energy center offers direct access to flow, flexibility, and fun. He is the god of the Third Eye<\/strong>!\u00a0 Pour a little water on the Vel and chant his name or his mantra Sa Ra Va Na Ba Va Ya<\/em><\/strong> or Murugan Kumaran Guhan<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Take your vel and stick it into a lemon or lime.\u00a0 Imagine all your negative karma, and just leave this aside for awhile.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Wednesday is the 8th<\/sup> moon<\/strong>.\u00a0 Kala Bhairava<\/strong> is a fierce form of Siva<\/strong> and rules the 8th<\/sup> moon.\u00a0 Kala means time<\/em><\/strong>, Bha means \u201chello!<\/em><\/strong>\u201d Ra<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 means the sun.\u00a0 He always travels with a dog.\u00a0 (We must take care of our dogs!)\u00a0 He has a smiley face.\u00a0 Udyamo Bhairava<\/em><\/strong> is his mantra.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

July 26 is the 10th<\/sup> moon<\/strong>.\u00a0 Veerabhadra<\/strong> or Veera Bhadraya<\/strong> rules the 10th<\/sup> moon.\u00a0 Veerabhadra is associated with the authorities of Jupiter and Saturn.\u00a0 They will judge you and help you along on your path.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
