Each new waking day brings new opportunities to attune to the vibrations of love. When we are available for others, we shed a ray of light into their day. There are six wonderful opportunities<\/em> this October<\/em> to display God\u2019s true purpose and show love and compassion to others.<\/span><\/p>\n

October 7<\/b>th<\/b> Navratri Ends<\/b><\/h4>\n

The final day of Navratri encourages an attitude of gratitude for all the spiritual blessings we have received from the Goddess in her nine different forms. On this day, she encourages selfless giving.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Pillai created The Tripura Foundation in 1989 to help deliver hot meals to men, women and children living in low-income areas. Since then, the charity has been feeding the underprivileged and destitute from all over India. A small sum on this day will substitute watery rice for a meal rich in quantity and nutrition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Goddess Siddhidhatri is said to reward such compassion by creating a peaceful, blissful mindset free of all impurities to create a future steeped in spirituality.<\/span><\/p>\n

October 10<\/b>th –<\/b> Pradosham<\/b><\/h4>\n

Pradosham falls on a Thursday this month and is ruled by Jupiter. Take advantage of three and a half golden hours to cleanse away the negative karma that is stopping you from fully absorbing the blessings or teachings of your Guru. Enhance this process by showing compassion for others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Tripura Foundation provides important resources such as food, education, shelter and clothing to children, families and the elderly. When we donate to such worthwhile causes, we in turn receive the help needed when life proves difficult.<\/span><\/p>\n

October 13<\/b>th,<\/b> 2019 \u2013 Full Moon<\/b><\/h4>\n

The Full Moon takes place under the Nakshatra Revati this month and is linked to prosperity. Pray to Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth, resonate with her energy and ask to be showered with abundance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One way to gain her attention is to reach out to people less fortunate. Every dollar donated to the Tripura Foundation is used to make life easier. When there is no money to buy food, the only thing left is hope. Make this a day for fighting hunger and poverty. When you give, the Goddess is most pleased. She has the power to nourish your soul with whatever it needs be it music, love, art, wealth, or food.<\/span><\/p>\n

October 20<\/b>th,<\/b> 2019 \u2013 Bhanu Saptami<\/b><\/h4>\n

This most auspicious day belongs to Lord Surya (the Sun God). Feel his rays penetrating through your entire being, filling you with improved health, wealth and longevity. The light from the Sun ripens Mother Nature\u2019s rich harvest with each passing season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With your help, charities such as The Tripura Foundation can work toward their goal of making the term \u2018below the poverty line\u2019 and \u201cdestitute\u201d obsolete. Feed the needy this Sunday and appease the Sun. Surya is delighted when we make donations and is said to fill us with positive energy and divine blessings.<\/span><\/p>\n

October 25<\/b>th,<\/b> 2019 – Pradosham\/ Dhanteras<\/b><\/h4>\n

Dhanteras is celebrated on the 25th. \u2018Dhan\u2019 stands for wealth and \u2018teras\u2019 means \u2018thirteenth Moon\u2019. We celebrate this day by purchasing gold, silver and jewelry. These metals are said to represent good luck and ward off negative energy and evil spirits.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Pillai\u2019s Tripura Foundation gives graciously to those in desperate need of clothes, shelter and food. Donating towards the less fortunate is a powerful way to connect with both Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth and Kubera, the God of treasures who reward us by multiplying their blessings.<\/span><\/p>\n

October 29<\/b>th,<\/b> 2019 – Diwali<\/b><\/h4>\n

It was on this day that the demon Narakasura was killed by Lord Vishnu. This legendary asura (demon) represented greed, ego, and poverty. Use this powerful time to illuminate the darkness of your karmic limitations and fill the mind, body and soul with pure abundance consciousness.<\/span><\/p>\n

Diwali is celebrated in a similar way to Christmas. It is a time for celebrating the fruits of life through generosity. Children partake in sweet treats and families congregate to worship the light of the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sadly, there are thousands of children who will not be able to enjoy such treats. For them, Diwali will not exist and the darkness will continue. Dr. Pillai\u2019s Tripura Foundation can help change that. Even the smallest of donations can curb hunger.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Pillai<\/a> says:\u00a0<\/strong> \u201c<\/span>A proper relationship with money is forged when human beings use it to share with others. This is very important. Greed is an outcome of ignorance<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
