\"\"<\/a>Sucharita welcomed us onto the Powertime Practice call today, Saturday, July 18, 2020. We come here together on these calls in order to navigate the teachings of Dr. Pillai, a Siddha master and teacher from southern India.<\/span><\/p>\n

She began by telling us what an important month this is energetically. It is the month of Aadi, the 4th month in the Tamil calendar, and it is a powertime to align with the goddess. This is a time to clear out our spaces to make room for the goddess to come in. When we hold onto things, we hold onto the memories of our past. We need to look to the future! It’s good to do our mantra practice while we are cleaning and clearing out.<\/span><\/p>\n

During these strange times of the pandemic, we are trying to figure out what \u201cnormal\u201d really is. There are many free services being offered at AstroVed.com and Pillaicenter.com and Sucharita tells us to tune into one of these offerings every day – it doesn’t really matter which one – just do one of them daily. This will help us to remain grounded in this time of uncertainty. She tells us that this pause in our lives, due to the COVID virus, may be actually a good opportunity to reset our lives<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The goddess will help us to find a way out of our dilemmas. We should stop going around and around, doing the same things and start over in a new direction. The way out is the way in. Dive deep inside and do your mantra practice.<\/strong> The goddess energy will rise up inside of you and awaken you to your higher self. This will be the kundalini energy traveling up your spine, through the chakra system and brain. Invite the goddess in, and she will go to work on you. She wants you to create a new destiny for yourself. Dr. Pillai says that waiting is a waste of time. We want our desires to manifest RIGHT NOW! We need to have fun again. When the gods and goddesses are present, there is nothing that can stop us from having more fun than ever!<\/span><\/p>\n

To kick-start the Aadi Velli or the five Fridays honoring the goddesses, we will honor the goddess in our meditation. AstroVed and Pillai Center offer ceremonies<\/a> honoring the goddess on these five Fridays in the month of Aadi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aadi Amavasya<\/strong> is the new moon<\/strong> of the Aadi Perukku<\/a> . This is the time to get rid of the negative affects of your ancestors. Offer tarpanam<\/strong> to your ancestors at this time, during the daylight hours – between sunrise and sunset. Pray for your ancestors and honor them with the \u201cfood\u201d of the tarpanam. See the link in the Powertime list below\u00a0 to the video with instructions on how to perform tarpanam.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rahu and Ketu are nodes of the moon and represent the head and the tail of the snake. You should find our where these nodes of the moon are located in your birth chart. Sucharita recommends that you get a live astrological consultation<\/a> to find out where Rahu and Ketu are and how they are going to be affecting you. Kala Sarpa means all the planets in your house are located between Rahu and Ketu. This means you will have a very intense life. It is beneficial to know how to channel this energy. Naga Chaturthi and Naga Panchami (also known as Garuda Panchami) is a very special 48-hour powertime dedicated to the invocation of Naga (snake) gods. Nagas are very powerful, mystical beings in the form of snakes that have the power to cast or remove curses. This festival is a very auspicious time to seek protection against snake afflictions from your previous births and to invoke serpentine blessings for the well-being of your children, family, and overall prosperity. There are remedy packages<\/a> offered at Pillai Center that will help to rid yourself of snake curses and receive blessings. It is believed that your sincere prayers to snake gods during these two power days can help in reducing the intensity of Doshas (afflictions) created from killing snakes in previous births, preventing danger from poisons, chemicals, and allergic substances, overcoming addictions to alcohol and other intoxicants and seeking relief from illusionary fears.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also you can pray to goddess Durga to help you defeat the negative aspects of Rahu. She can get rid of fear, depressions, anxiety, scarcity consciousness and give you your desires. Whatever spiritual practice you do will help everyone around you. There is a ripple affect which can travel out to all your relatives. You will start to notice things will turn around for those around you who have been suffering.<\/span><\/p>\n
