Welcome back to the Powertime Practice call on this Saturday, April 10, 2021! Finally, we are all back together! Sucharita welcomed us all to the call by telling us what Powertimes are coming up in the next week. She mentions that there is a new course being offered at Pillai Center Academy called Holy Spirit Immersion<\/strong>. She says it is a self-study course, so we can do it at our own speed when we have time. Find out about it here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sun is currently in Pisces but is soon going to enter Aries. Pisces is the sign of the fish, and fish do not have feet, so we may have felt a little bit at sea. This coming week when the sun enters the first sign of the zodiac, Aries, we will begin to feel more grounded. The sun represents the soul and as it transits each sign of the zodiac, we will feel the influence of those signs more strongly. Pillai Center and AstroVed both offer services to honor the sun. You can visit those websites to learn more. The sun shines light on us and on whatever problems we may be encountering. The Tamil or Vedic New Year is coming with this transit, and this is the time of rebirth and new life. This is the time to be in the right place with the right people, saying and doing the right things in order to manifest our desires! And this is what Dr. Pillai is going to help us with. We need to find out what our soul\u2019s purpose is!<\/span><\/p>\n

The sun\u2019s name is Surya and the chant is Om Suryaya Namaha<\/em>. He is the first of the Nava Grahas or planets. The sun\u2019s color is red orange, so it\u2019s good to wear something red on Sundays. The sun\u2019s stone is the red ruby. The sun rules Leo, and his stars are Krittika, Uttara Phalguni, Uttarashada. (Learn about all the birthstars or Nakshatras here<\/a>). Chanting the Gayatri mantra is beneficial: Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha Tat Savitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyoyona Prachodayat.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The sun represents the father, government, conscience, individuality, devotion to God, the ability to withstand suffering, immunity, and royalty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sucharita tells us to burn a sesame seed oil lamp on Saturdays to honor Lord Saturn, who rules Saturday. Saturn delivers karma to us. The sun is Saturn\u2019s father, and the sun can help to temper the karma that will be delivered. The sun also rules the spleen, which is a filter for the blood. Always remember to say hello to the sun daily and show your gratitude for his life-giving light!<\/span><\/p>\n

Awaken with the Sun<\/a> is a course to honor the sun on the Pillai Center Academy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sucharita tells us to visit the Nambu Herb website to get the Hi-Memory formula<\/a> herb, Bacopa. This herb will stimulate the neurons that relate to the memory. It will bring you into the consciousness of miracles, as well as to de-calcify the pineal gland, which is the third eye.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sucharita tells us that there is a program at Tripura Foundation<\/a> to give sleeping mats to the elderly. This is an easy way to check off the box of charity that we need to accomplish for our enlightenment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, Sucharita tells us to honor our ancestors through the ritual of Tarpanam. There is a YouTube video showing how to offer Tarpanam<\/a>. Dr. Pillai has said that this is the most important thing one can do every day! Perform this ritual only during the daylight hours!<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n
