One, in particular, is the story of Kubera, the Banker of Heaven, who was blessed by Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth. The Rain of Gold Hymn, known as the Kanakadhara Stotram,<\/strong> is a potent hymn spontaneously composed by the great saint Adi Shankara. The hymn extolls the beauty, personality, power, and graciousness of Goddess Lakshmi. According to sacred texts, Goddess Lakshmi was extremely pleased by this heartfelt rendition and poured out her blessings in the form of a rain of golden gooseberries.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nThis hymn is said to possess highly secretive sounds, and it is believed that chanting this hymn while performing a Fire Lab to Kanaka Lakshmi (Lakshmi as Supreme Bestower of Gold) can change people\u2019s destiny, rescue them from lack of money and distress, rejuvenate their mental and physical health, and absolve them of bad money karma that prevents them from enjoying material success.<\/span><\/p>\nThis hymn contains 21 verses.
