So this is a day of celebration for both Lakshmi and Kubera.\u201d <\/span><\/i>&#8211; Dr. Pillai<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The Rain of Gold Hymn, known as the Kanakadhara Stotram,<\/strong> is a potent hymn spontaneously composed by the great saint Adi Shankara. The hymn extolls the beauty, personality, power, and graciousness of Goddess Lakshmi. <strong>According to sacred texts, Goddess Lakshmi was extremely pleased by this heartfelt rendition and poured out her blessings in the form of a rain of golden gooseberries.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This hymn is said to possess highly secretive sounds, and it is believed that chanting this hymn while performing a Fire Lab to Kanaka Lakshmi (Lakshmi as Supreme Bestower of Gold) can change people\u2019s destiny, rescue them from lack of money and distress, rejuvenate their mental and physical health, and absolve them of bad money karma that prevents them from enjoying material success.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>This hymn contains 21 verses. The one who carries within her the opulence of the entire world and showers wealth through her divine glance. May that glance bring auspiciousness and prosperity into my life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>VERSE 2<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mugdha muhurvidhadhadathi vadhane Murare,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Premathrapapranihithani gathagathani,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mala dhrishotmadhukareeva maheth pale ya,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sa ne sriyam dhisathu sagarasambhavaya.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSalutations to Mother Lakshmi, whose glances are directed towards the face of Hari (Murari). Charmed by his face, her glances are filled with love and bashfulness, as they return to his face time and again. Her glances are like the honey-bees that hover around the huge water lily. She who has risen from the ocean of milk, may she bestow her glance filled with good fortune upon me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>VERSE 3<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ameelithaksha madhigamya mudha Mukundam<br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anandakandamanimeshamananga thanthram,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Akekara stiththa kaninika pashma nethram,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bhoothyai bhavenmama bhjangasayananganaya.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSalutations to Mother Lakshmi, who has captured the joyous face of Mukunda through her fully opened eyes, her gaze remaining on his ecstatic face with closed eyes. Her glance is filled with happiness and love.
