Nothing else matters to Him. By Shiva\u2019s standard, life on Earth has only one purpose, and that is to evolve-to get rid of your individual ego identity, to get rid of your Maya, the attraction of the world and the senses, and also your Karma, which is the sum total of the good and bad that you have done over many, many lifetimes.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/OzO83Fobjmw?si=--Tkz6ybx9jRLX2R\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shiva<\/a> gives an opportunity for all human beings, and also other beings as well, to embrace Him &#8211; which means to be enlightened-on this very sacred night. For about 12 hours, from 6 in the evening to 6 in the morning, is the Shivaratri night time. If you manage to keep vigil, according to the scriptures, that is worth doing millions of years of meditation.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Descent of Shiva\u2019s Energy on Earth<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This time is really the descent of Lord Shiva into this Earth plane. The Earth gives you food, but it can also create destruction-earthquakes. Water gives you water to drink, but it can also kill you through tsunamis and floods. Fire-without fire, we will die; we are warm-blooded beings. But fire can also destroy us. Air is the same way, and Akash (space) is even worse in its destruction.<\/p>\n<p>Namah Shivaya transforms this power for you, for your use, so that you can take advantage of this great mantra, particularly on this Shivaratri night. Even if you don\u2019t meditate on other days, please make sure you meditate on this day and keep the vigil. You will see the difference.<\/p>\n<p>This one mantra is called the Maha Mantra-the greatest mantra-that can give you the power of all the five elements. The five elements are extremely powerful; they are within you and outside of you. That connection will be established through the practice of this mantra: Namah Shivaya.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Power of the Namah Shivaya Mantra<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Each syllable of this mantra corresponds to a different chakra:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Na &#8211; at the Base Chakra<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ma &#8211; at the Root Chakra<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Shi &#8211; at the Heart Chakra<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Va &#8211; at the Throat and Mouth Chakra<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ya &#8211; at the Third Eye and Crown Chakra<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just to give you an experience, close your eyes. I\u2019m going to do it for a few seconds in each of the chakras. Close your eyes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Na &#8211; at the bottom of the spine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Na &#8211; move to the Navel.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ma &#8211; move to the Heart.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Shi &#8211; move to the Throat and the Mouth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Va &#8211; move to the Two Eyes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ya &#8211; move to the Third Eye and the Brain.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That is less than a minute, yet you will receive a world of benefits. It will burn your Karma, your Maya, and your ego.<\/p>\n<p>We do this throughout the night. This practice alone is enough, but you can also change the order of the sounds:<\/p>\n<p><strong>MaShiVaYaNa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ShiVaYaNaMa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>VaYaNaMaShi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>YaNaMaShiVa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can change the order of the syllables and their sequence. You should also know what they really mean and what part of the brain is being activated.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Take Advantage of Shiva\u2019s Gift<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>So at least, don\u2019t go to sleep on that night. At least from this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pillaicenter.com\/blog\/great-night-of-shiva-obtain-merit-of-million-years-of-meditation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shivaratri<\/a> onwards, take advantage of this great opportunity that Shiva offers to everyone. This is a one-time opportunity for the year.
