“In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna is one who gives the philosophy of Life.<\/p>\n

Krishna advises Arjuna to go and fight, and Arjuna says: \u2019Why do I have to go and kill my grandfather, and my cousins, and my teachers? I don\u2019t want the kingdom, I\u2019m happy without all of these things.\u2019<\/p>\n

Krishna<\/a> gives the highest teaching that ever was given to humanity.<\/p>\n

He said that everyone has a dharma<\/strong> that is an assigned duty. You are a warrior, and a warrior\u2019s duty is to go and fight; you cannot renounce action.<\/p>\n

By renouncing action, you are not going to get anywhere, even in the spiritual realm<\/em>.<\/p>\n

By renouncing action you cannot achieve liberation. And he says that between renunciation and action, or between action and inaction, action is better.<\/p>\n

\u2018Karma Jayo Na Akarmana.\u2019<\/em>Akarma is inaction. Action is better than inaction.<\/p>\n

You think that you are inactive?<\/p>\n

No. You are breathing. That is action.<\/p>\n

You cannot even live without action. Action is part of life. So you should do your daily dharmic action, otherwise the world will not even continue to exist. Action is what supports this world.<\/p>\n

Act Without Expecting<\/span><\/p>\n

The message here is: \u2018You have to act, act, act\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n

But then you act not out of your ego, but out of an obligation to the Divine.<\/p>\n

You act for the glory of the Lord<\/em>.<\/p>\n

You have no entitlement to the fruit of action. That\u2019s where the problem is. If you are attached to the fruits of your action, you will eventually feel miserable.<\/p>\n

You act for the glory of the Lord who created this world. You are completely detached from the fruits, but not detached from the action.<\/p>\n

You have to act as perfectly as possible without putting your attention on the fruits. When you are focused on the fruits, you will come to misery.<\/p>\n

You do act from a perfect state of yoga.<\/p>\n

\u2018Yogasta Kuru Karmani<\/em>.\u2019<\/p>\n

Stay in your being, not participating in anything, but still acting from a detached mode. If you do that there will be no suffering, because there is no ego involved. You are not expecting anything. You are only thinking about the Lord. You are not thinking about the fruit, nor about your ego.<\/p>\n

You act for the sake of the Lord, who has assigned a certain dharma to you.<\/p>\n

This is the greatest teaching.”<\/p>\n
