For now, Sucharita reminds you that Maha Sivaratri is the night of Monday, March 7, 2016 in North America<\/strong><\/span>. Maha Sivaratri is the great night of Siva that takes place on the eve of the new moon every year when Sun is in Aquarius. On this night if you keep a vigil, Siva can remove a huge amount of karma from you, giving you a clean slate for the next year. In fact, Dr. Pillai has said meditating on Siva this night will be equal to millions of years of meditation.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Dr. Pillai recommends you do the Extended One-Minute Meditation as much as possible, or chant \u201cOM NAMASIVAYA.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/li>\n
  2. You can also use the two secretive mantras, VARUVAI SHIVA<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>for wealth and ARUL SHIVAM<\/a><\/span><\/strong> for health and grace.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. If you have access to Bilva leaves, put one on a Shiva Lingam or an image of Shiva and \u201cit will do a world of good for you and your family.\u201d If you don\u2019t have access to Bilva leaves, we are offering a way for you to receive the same benefits via proxy \u2013 click here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  4. In addition, you can do a simple Hydration Ceremony (Abishekam<\/a><\/strong><\/span>) at least at midnight<\/span><\/span>, and if possible once per hour starting at 6 p.m. through 6 a.m.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
