{"id":7709,"date":"2016-11-13T20:31:40","date_gmt":"2016-11-14T03:31:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pillaicenter.com\/blog\/?p=7709"},"modified":"2016-11-13T20:31:40","modified_gmt":"2016-11-14T03:31:40","slug":"pillai-center-changed-life-perspective","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pillaicenter.com\/blog\/pillai-center-changed-life-perspective","title":{"rendered":"How Pillai Center Changed My Life and Perspective"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>&#8220;Pillai Center gave me a rare and unique opportunity, the ability to feel peace and obtain faith during a tumultuous time in my life.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I had been extremely ill for a month and was unable to function which had lead to increased anxiety and depression. I slowly started getting better and began to reinsert myself into daily life. Then I got the worst news, my mother had passed away suddenly from a drug overdose.<\/p>\n<p>My mother and I were very close and the shock of losing her when all signs had pointed that she was getting better had paralyzed me. I had started spiraling with the emotions of grief that took over my life. I immediately reverted back to being full of anxiety and depression and felt as though I had wanted to give up on life. It is not an easy hole to climb out of when you are so far into it.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Pillai Center team and teachings had helped me to see that I have a purpose and am not done with this life.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I had been studying on and off with Dr. Pillai and his teachers for over a year, but because I was not dedicated, I had not built a solid foundation to handle these types of situations.<\/p>\n<p>The opportunity arose for me to have a Maha Tarpanam performed for my mother to help her soul reach the highest realms. I was skeptical at first, however, I took the advice of a Pillai Center Teacher and the team who helped me and purchased the Maha Tarpanam.<\/p>\n<p>The ritual needs to be performed at a specific time period after death, so I had to just sit and wait. So I went about my business and figured my part was done once it was ordered, and had actually forgotten when the Maha Tarpanam was to be performed. I also tried alternative methods for dealing with my grief which helped me to get through the day.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In comes the MIRACLE&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As I said before, I had been very skeptical and this caused me to struggle a lot with faith. One night as I lay in bed, I was overcome with an overwhelming sense of peace. This is abnormal enough for me that I had noticed it and even questioned why all of a sudden I felt everything was going to be ok.<\/p>\n<p>I wake up the next morning feeling refreshed and again had notice there was a significant change I couldn&#8217;t quite pinpoint.<\/p>\n<p>Then I check my email&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p>I had gotten a report telling me that the Maha Tarpanam had been performed on my behalf the previous night around the time I started feeling better.<\/p>\n<p>The impact was so jarring it took a little bit for me to register just how impactful this ceremony was in my life.
