\"Pay<\/p>\n

We (in the USA) have just come off our Thanksgiving holidays which is a time to get together with family. Our families are our ancestors, life after life<\/em>.\u00a0 We are with our families in this lifetime for a reason and that reason is karmically based!\u00a0 We get on a spiritual path to realize the why and the wherefore and the meaning of life.\u00a0 And then we can see that our relatives are all part of the show!\u00a0 Once we get on the path, and continue to try to change our destiny, we will see results<\/u><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Part of our spiritual practice is to learn to pray.\u00a0 What is the best way to pray? Before we even get out of bed<\/em> in the morning, call on Ganesha, the elephant headed God who rides on a mouse.\u00a0 He is the remover of all obstacles, seen and unseen!\u00a0 Gum Gum Gum!<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 Center your thoughts and then call on God.\u00a0 Forget about all the prescribed prayers we have learned and just talk to God like a friend or a father or mother.\u00a0 Use your emotions to talk to God and you will get through to him.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The energies of the ancestors or the energy of Saturn<\/strong> may pop up this week, because we have just come out of a karma-clearing cycle (waning moon) and yesterday was a Sani Pradosham<\/strong>. Life is a series of “now” moments, poised to go in any direction, depending on your karma and depending on your choices. To help make the choices that will give health, prosperity and relationships, Dr. Pillai has given us tools and techniques. We have remedies, rituals and mantras for the specific aspects of what we need and want to manifest for ourselves. The Divine is always here for us, waiting for us to come home. We can wander far, but the Divine is patient.<\/span><\/p>\n

New Moon<\/span> \u2013 Monday, November 28, 2016<\/strong> The New Moon is a powerful time to establish a connection with your maternal and paternal ancestors<\/em>. Performing the Tarpanam ritual on this day clears energy blocks, negativity, evils and shortcomings in all aspects of your life. The word \u201cTarpanam<\/em>\u201d means \u201csatisfying<\/em>\u201d or \u201csatiating<\/em>\u201d. New Moon days are also considered as an auspicious day to offer rituals to Karuppasamy<\/em>.\u00a0November 28th<\/sup>, 2016 Karuppasamy is called the God of Justice as He has zero tolerance towards evil. Being closer to the earth plane makes him more compassionate to the sufferings of the people.\u00a0Karuppasamy promises to help all those who seek and deserve justice, money, good health and relationships.\u00a0He puts a quick end to all that is evil, be it curses, black magic, evil eye or even evil plotting, Karuppasamy<\/a> can burst it all.\u00a0 On this new moon day, chant: <\/span><\/p>\n

Call on him to remove your obstacles by chanting his mantra, Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha<\/em>. Roll and break a coconut to remove obstacles and karma.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Next Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 and following Monday Dec. 12, 2016 Karthigai Somavaram and Deepam <\/span><\/strong>– (Last 2 Auspicious Mondays of Shiva in 2016 culminating in Grand Finale Deepam Day) The archetype Shiva’s energy is abundantly available during the Tamil month of Karthigai. According to the scriptures, during this month, Lord Shiva showed himself in the form of infinite fire. The planet Moon (known as Soma in Sanskrit), who rules Monday, has a special connection with Shiva, who is also known as Someshwara (the one who wears the crescent Moon on his matted hair).<\/span><\/p>\n

Mondays are always very auspicious for Lord Shiva, and Karthigai Somavaram refers to special Mondays that fall in the month of Karthigai. The Full Moon in the month of Karthigai is celebrated as “Karthigai Deepam”, which is particularly special, as it coincides with the last Somavaram (Monday of Karthigai month) this year.
