Sucharita welcomed us to our\u00a0Power Time Practice<\/b>\u00a0(PTP) call this morning, Saturday Jan. 6, 2018 by checking her\u00a0AstroVed Calendar<\/a><\/b>\u00a0and mentioning some of the events coming up.\u00a0 She says that all of us should have one of these calendars! \u00a0This calendar lists all the Vedic astrological events for every day of the year.\u00a0 Dr. Pillai wants us all to make the most out of our time and is a huge proponent of Vedic Astrology.\u00a0 Using the AstroVed calendar, Sucharita is going to help us follow the path of the sun and the planets and see what energies are available for the day.\u00a0 She mentions that each month the sun transits another sign of the zodiac and each sign of the zodiac controls certain elements in our existence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today is the\u00a06th<\/sup>\u00a0moon<\/b>\u00a0and that means we can tap into the energy of\u00a0Lord Muruga<\/b>.\u00a0 Muruga rules the 6th<\/sup>\u00a0moon and since the moon represents the mind, he will help us to get clarity.\u00a0 His weapon in a\u00a0vel<\/b>\u00a0or spear and we can mentally imprint this weapon into our soul for our protection. Another way to make use of this vel is to cut a little incision into a lime and push the point of the vel into the lime.\u00a0 This will protect us!\u00a0 We don’t even have to believe in the ritual, belief will come later!\u00a0 Just do the rites, remedies and rituals and you will benefit!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She also says that today is Saturday and this is Saturn’s day.\u00a0 Saturn likes it when we help others, so it’s a good day to donate to and help those less fortunate.\u00a0 If you can’t get out to do something charitable, then go to\u00a0Tripura Foundation<\/b>\u00a0website (and make a donation.\u00a0 Saturn will bless you for this!<\/span><\/p>\n

Sucharita mentions that another tool that we can take advantage of is the\u00a0Hora Watch<\/a><\/b>, an app for our smart phones \u00a0and also the\u00a0Panchang<\/b>\u00a0on the home page of\u00a0AstroVed<\/a>. \u00a0These apps tell us where the sun, moon and stars are at any particular time.\u00a0 We always want to feel the presence of the Divine and by paying attention to the stars, as well as the sun and planets, we can utilize the energies available from these Divine entities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another main focus of Dr. Pillai’s teachings is getting rid of Karma.\u00a0 What is karma?\u00a0 Karma is simply our thoughts, thoughts from this life and all the previous lives we have ever lived.\u00a0 We do not have to be victims of our karma.\u00a0 Dr. Pillai teaches us how to \u201cbust\u201d our karma.\u00a0 We can roll limes on our throats while chanting\u00a0Thiru Neela Kantum<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Vedic Winter Solstice<\/a>\u00a0is coming up on January 14 and\u00a0Thai Amavasya<\/a>\u00a0is right behind on January 16, 2018. . Amavasya means \u201cnew moon\u201d and this is a good time dive deep inside.\u00a0 And who is inside?\u00a0 We have cells, genes and DNA and we have inherited these from our ancestors.\u00a0 We are attached to our ancestors through our genes, but this is not only physical attributes.\u00a0 We are affected by their thoughts and karma as well.\u00a0 If we are aware of where our thoughts come from, then we can begin to control them.\u00a0 Dr. Pillai says \u201cYou don\u2019t simply inherit biological genes you also inherit the souls of your ancestors. If I have to recommend one solution for every one of our problems, be it financial, relationship or health, it is doing Tarpanam (offerings to the ancestors). Miracles do happen after the performance of the rituals. I want you to take advantage of this time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

On Amavasya we can reach out to our ancestors and they can pour out blessings to us.\u00a0 We can do this by\u00a0offering Tarpanam<\/a>\u00a0to them.\u00a0 You can take a mixture of rice flour and black sesame seeds, along with a coin, in your right palm and pour water over the top while offering it to any ancestor who may want or need the offering.\u00a0\u00a0Do this every day, but only do this ritual during the daylight hours<\/i>.\u00a0 If you have any negative patterns that run through the generations, such as divorce, miscarriage, disease, etc., this can affect you too.\u00a0 It seems that you may have no control over this but this is the reason you propitiate the ancestors.\u00a0 You can break the negative patterns of your ancestors.\u00a0 The ancestors will bless you and all your relatives!\u00a0\u00a0Learn more.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

She says that Dr. Pillai says Karuppaswamy is going to be the next incarnation of Siva.
