On <strong>4<sup>th<\/sup> <\/strong>and <strong>14<sup>th<\/sup> <\/strong>moon days Ganesha can remove a tremendous amount of karma and obstacles. Sucharita demonstrated how to take a <strong>coconut<\/strong> or lemon\/lim and use it suck out the bad karma from our ethereal bodies. You can roll a coconut or lime on:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">your<strong> eyes<\/strong> (to rid the karma from what we have seen)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">your <strong>mouth<\/strong> (to help us get rid of karma from gossiping, eating, addictions etc)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">your <strong>ears<\/strong> (to rid the karma from what we have heard and remembered)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">your <strong>forehead<\/strong> (the brain is where all those karmic thoughts are hanging out!)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">your <strong>throat<\/strong>, where a lot of karma resides.\u00a0 We ask Siva to take the karma from us while visualizing a blue light around the throat.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">your <strong>shoulders<\/strong> (shoulders carry a lot of karma)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">your <strong>belly <\/strong>(karma is also stored here)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>anywhere your body needs healing<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Chant <strong><em>Gum, Gum Gum<\/em><\/strong> or <strong><em>Om Gum Ganapataye<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 These are the seed sounds for Ganesha.\u00a0 She reminds us that we are light and sound and when we chant the mantras we are affecting the very atoms of our beings in a positive way.\u00a0 When finished with the rolling of the coconuts, she told us how to smash the coconut in an easy manner or cut the limes and discard them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Some members have purchased <a href=\"https:\/\/www.astroved.com\/SearchResults.aspx?q=coconuts&amp;departmentId=0&amp;departmentName=All%20Departments&amp;brandId=0&amp;brandName=All%20Brands&amp;Min=0&amp;Max=0&amp;FieldId=0&amp;FieldValue=\">proxy coconut smashing<\/a> where the priest in India will smash coconuts for us\u2026how easy is that?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Karma can just sneak up on us, unannounced, and knock us for a loop. We don&#8217;t know what our karma has in store for us and that&#8217;s we why we need to continually \u201cbust\u201d our karma using the techniques that Dr. Pillai has taught us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Monday, January 22<\/strong> will be the <strong>6<sup>th<\/sup> moon<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Muruga\u2019s<\/strong> <strong>power time<\/strong>. Sucharita demonstrated how to call on Muruga, the brother of Ganesha, by rolling limes in the same manner that we just learned with Ganesha and coconuts.\u00a0 She says to make a little slit in the lime to make it easy to pierce the lime with Muruga\u2019s spear, the vel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">When we hold the vel in our hands we are activating <strong>chakras<\/strong> there and messages are sent to our brain.\u00a0 Imagine that the shaft of the vel is our backbone and the head of the vel is our brain.\u00a0 Imagine the tip of the vel piercing the top of the skull or the crown chakra.\u00a0 We experience the energies of Ganesha and Muruga coming up through all our chakras from the root chakra (Mooladhara) all the way to the crown chakra (Sahasrara).\u00a0 More about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.astroved.com\/articles\/chakras-of-the-human-body\">chakras<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Sucharita showed us her <strong>Saturn lamp<\/strong> which is an oil lamp with sesame oil and black sesame seeds. There is an erukku wick with two cotton wicks twisted around it so it will burn better.
