Kularnava Tantra says,” Remember the Guru`s feet, they provide protection against great diseases, great disturbances, great evils, great fears, great calamities and great sins.” It is said that the formless guru takes a form in the padukas, where all the holy waters even Ganga, all angels and all the sacred hills reside. It has the power to burn all the sins of countless births, illumine the mind and cross the sea of life. Worship to the feet means surrender of all sorrows, worries and concerns, which will be taken care of by the Guru himself.
