Gaining Perspective on Spirituality

The most important thing about spirituality is that it gives you awareness or puts you in touch with who you are.

Who you are is not what you have been doing on this earth-plane, who you are related to, and so on. Who you really are is the Being whose task it is to understand the infinite levels of awareness, of consciousness.

One thing that I must tell you is that nothing of this earth-plane is going to give you lasting happiness. Money is a motivating factor for many of you as long as you don't have money. However, once you have money, then you will find that it has its own limitations. There are other things that you still need to deal with, like an aging body, aches, pains, diseases and so forth. But, still, we love this painful body. And we have not yet considered a way of mastering our limitations-at the level of the mind and at the level of the body.

True bliss comes when the mind dies. True bliss comes when the breath goes into the sushumna, the central nadi or energy channel, which is invisible and corresponds to the spine.

It is important for everyone to shut up and meditate for a while   every day.

I want you to learn how you can strengthen the life energy within you. Technically speaking, what promotes life is the energy of the sun. Without the sun, there can be no life on the earth-plane.

The rays from the sun not only support life, but the rays of the sun are indeed the seeds of life itself.

Accessing Sun Energy

I am going to teach you a prayer to the Sun, who is the life giver.

The purpose of this chant is to enhance the potency of the life principles, including one's body, mind, and soul. Visualize the sun's rays streaming forth into your body, mind and soul.

This is an ancient Sanskrit chant. It is called the Gayatri mantra, the prayer to the sun. I am happy to give this to you.

MANTRA: GAYATRI
[Pronounced: GUY-YA-TREE]

Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi
Dhiyoyona Prachodayat
[Pronounced:
OHM BUR BOO-VAH SWA-HA
TAHT SAH-VEE-TOOR VAHR-EHN-YUM
BHAHR-GO DEH-VAHS-YAH DEE-MAH-HEE
DEE-YOH YOHN-AH PRAH-CHOD-DAH-YAHT]

The sounds Om, Bhur, Bhuvah, Swaha, Savitur-they all refer to different principles of consciousness and different light principles. Light and consciousness are one and the same. These sounds have their own light equivalence. They are light waves indeed.

Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi
Dhiyoyona Prachodayat

Here are some of the meanings embedded in this mantra:

Bhur (earth)
Bhuvah (atmosphere)
Swaha (heavens)
Tat (that)
Savitur (of the source)
Varenyam (to be held sacred)
Bhargo (light)
Devasya (of the effulgent)
Dhimahi (we meditate on)

Some people like to use the Gayatri mantra on Sunday, literally the Sun's Day.

Defeating Death

This is the prayer for immortality

Tryambakam Yajamhe
Suganhim Pustivardhanam
Urvarukamiva Bandhanant
Mrtyor muksyia ma'mrtat
[Pronounced:
TRY-UM-BAH-KUM YA-JAHM-MAH-HAY
SOO-GAHN-DIM POOSH-TEE VAHR-DAH-NAHM
OOR-VAHR-OO-KUMEE-VAH VAHN-DAHN-AHN
MRIT-YOUR MOOK-SHEE-YAH MAHM-REE-TAHT]

Put these sounds into your eyes, ears, tongue, third eye and so on as I've instructed with other mantras.

These mantras can open your spiritual awareness. The sounds will deliver you from bondage-the bondage of the human mind and body.

During this Age, our spiritual nature is going to be revived. We are going to understand more about spiritual laws. This new understanding is really going to give us a new life.
