He is depicted with a broken tusk, a noose, a goad and a sprig of the wish-fulfilling tree (kalpavriksha). He is shown holding a tiny pot of precious jewels (ratnakumbha) in his uplifted trunk. This fire prayer will be done during the beneficial obstacle removal energies of 4th Moon phase, a powertime for Ganesha. On this day, the Moon will be in Shravana, a star of money. Practical Action Interactive Fire Lab on June 21st / 22nd: This Interactive Fire Lab will be performed to invoke Mars, a masculine planet of action and will power. Mars is making a transit into Cancer. Cancer is a sign with feminine energy and is said to be the most emotionally sensitive of all the signs. Mars is not comfortable to move through Cancer, his least favorite sign to be in. He is not all operating at full power (aka debilitated) in this location. The Moon will be in Uttara Bhadrapada, a star of business development. This fire prayer will invoke Kala Bhairava, archetype of time management, in his form as Unmatha Bhairava. As Unmatha Bhairava, he can give blessings to help us gain control over our speech and bless us with eloquence. The ability to have professional self-control and good skills with articulation are quite useful in business development. This fire prayer will invoke Unmatha Bhairava to bring his protection into our lives. It is believed that the blessings of Unmatha Bhairava can provide a check against the negative traits of ego and self-praise. The period during the one-and-a-half hours before sunset on every 13th Moon day is a premier karma-dissolving powertime called Pradosham. This Karma-Dissolving Prayer Service will be performed to honor Shiva, the Supreme Archetype of Karma Removal. On this Pradosham day, the Moon will be in Rohini, a star of beauty and abundance. This is an auspicious time to release negative karma that interferes with our ability to accept our own inner and outer beauty. Dr. Pillai has said the poet John Keats expressed a divine principle in saying, “Beauty is truth, truth beauty.” When we do not acknowledge our own beauty and the beauty of others, we are not being truthful to our divine heritage. This prayer service can help us receive blessings to live with beauty and abundance in our daily lives.
