In this third installment of the Karma Series, Dr. Pillai explores karma through neuroscience, explaining conflict and limitation as functions of the brain and emphasizing direct experience through midbrain practice.

“The traditional philosophers of karma are up against me for messing with neuroscience, and I am not worried.
But this happened to Swami Vivekananda when he was in London. He was comparing the chakra system to biology. He said there were correlates for each chakra in the physical body.
But I am not going to spend too much time on it. What I am going to talk about right now is the conflict.
The Conflict Behind Karma
The conflict that we have is this: everybody wants to succeed.
A billionaire wants to be a multi-billionaire.
A person who is making a couple of thousand dollars wants to make three thousand dollars.
But they are not able to do it.
Health conflicts are there.
Relationship conflicts are there.
And it can be understood in terms of karma.
For some people, it happens very easily.
Most people are trying very hard, but still fail.
Poverty as a Neurological Issue
One of my definitions of poverty is this:
Poverty is a matter of neurology.
Poverty exists because the brain is not functioning properly due to negativity.
The negativity comes from the neocortex.
That’s why understanding the primitive brain, or the reptilian brain, or what I call the midbrain—which includes the pituitary and the pineal—is important.
They are in conflict.
The pituitary represents the human soul.
The pineal represents the Divine Soul.
This knowledge will liberate humanity.
It will make people in India and Africa become rich—not by learning economics, not by learning computer science skills—but by opening the midbrain, which is a miracle brain.
Technique Over Theory
So let’s go and do the technique.
And the most important thing I want you to do is to go to Google Search and record it. It is a meditation. Consider it as a meditation.
Just listening to me and then going about doing your own thing is not going to work.
You have to change your brain.
Then only can you come up in life. Otherwise, your life will be wasted—your precious life will be wasted.
So let’s do the technique.
Technique is more important than theories.
Midbrain Tapping Technique
Let’s close our eyes.
There are four gates that we are going to open by tapping.
It is very important to feel it.
One—just press and create a sensation with the nail.
Pressing the nail—one.
Take it and feel it.
The whole brain will explode.
The Kundalini will go up.
Two—just a half inch above.
Three.
Four.
And now see the spots where you tapped.
See a red ray of light passing through—a vertical light.
The whole brain explodes with energy.
God bless.”
