  5. Joy Is Your Birthright:...

Imagine that you become suddenly unaware of your body and totally oblivious of your mind.

But you are experiencing something new—a deep and complete joy.

Impossible? Very possible and doable according to Dr. Pillai and many other mystics. Swami Ramalingam, a Tamil saint and a previous incarnation of Dr. Pillai, was aware of this state since he was just a tiny 5-month-old baby.

“No sooner the light was perceived, happiness prevailed in me. I tasted the sweet nectar as soon as Arut Perum Jothi (or supreme grace from divine light) became visible to me,” he said of this deeply blissful state.

Dr. Pillai explains how everyone can experience this light and be filled with supreme joy—of a kind that is superior to anything you’ve ever experienced before.

“There is a lot of literature on the ascension of enlightened Masters in different traditions.

“But Ramalingam’s case is the only documented example.

“This was a man who had a physical, human body yet turned it into light.

Power of Compassion

“I’ve talked before about his compassion as a main modality for turning the body into Light.

“In fact, it was his compassion towards human beings, animals and plants as well [which led to his ascension].

“Ramalingam was such a genius: he put all of these things in a few words—maya, this illusion, the mind which perceives the illusion. He says: ‘You cannot stop your mind, you cannot stop the maya.’

Maya and Mind According to Ramalingam and EinsteinMiddle-Joy-Is-Your-Birthright-blog

“He also gave us a definition of maya and mind.

“Mind is just a pulsation that takes place within our consciousness. When it originates it creates the mind—the perceiving mind that becomes more active and uncontrollable. Then it becomes maya.

“In order to perceive the illusion or goal, you need a mind, which is the initial activity that takes place within consciousness.

“The second thing you need is to stop when the activity in the mind begins and becomes uncontrollable as maya (the accelerated mind). And who can stop it?

‘Only God can stop the mind and the appearance of maya,’ sang Ramaligam.

“Einstein said that, too, that he could accept that what you are seeing outside is just an illusion. He put it in a very beautiful way: ‘But this is a persistent illusion. No matter what I do, I cannot escape seeing this. The day when you are able to see only emptiness, then you are seeing the reality.’

Overwhelming Joy

“I had this experience in Canada, during a medical procedure: the anesthesiologist said that he was going to sedate me and that I would go to sleep.

“But I didn’t go to sleep. Was I aware of the body? No, I was not aware of the body. Was I aware of the mind? No, I wasn’t aware of the mind.

“But I was aware of something that was very profound, and that was incredible joy.

“Incredible joy.

“I can even get into that same state of incredible joy just by thinking about it.

“I will talk more about this and how to experience this joy in my upcoming webinar on January 23 about the ascension day of Swami Ramalingam. God bless.”
