  5. Welcome the Goddesses!

The Goddess energy needs to be woken up inside of all of us, men and women. This is a time to clean up everything in our lives! Clean your office, bedroom, workspace, (every place, including our minds!) because clutter causes blockages.  All those old things that we have held onto for years and decades have memories (karma) attached to them so this is the time to get rid of them.  Don’t continually go through your garbage, examining it…Just take it out to the curb and let it go!

The Goddess energy is the energy that is caring and wants to create comfort and abundance in our lives. This is the motherly unconditional love that we all desire. The first three nights are for Durga (energy and power), 2nd three nights are for Lakshmi (abundance) and the 3rd three nights are for Saraswati (wisdom).

Sucharita talked five things that encompass our lives-Time, Energy, Money, Karma and Thought. We need to get control of those things and then we will finally have control of our lives.  We do this by doing our spiritual practices faithfully each day and then we will be bathed in our own Divinity.

Important Upcoming Events:

Navaratri or Nine Nights of the GoddessOct 1– 9, 2016 Dr. Pillai has designated 10 different Goddesses (in addition to Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati) to propitiate during this event-one for each day.  Today, Sunday Oct. 2, is the 2nd night of Navaratri.  The 2nd Goddess is Tara – ‘Tara’ in Sanskrit means ‘to Transcend’. Goddess Tara is the deliverer and savior to take us through any difficult situation. This blue-colored Goddess has the power to lift us up against all odds and take us beyond the turbulent waves of negative feelings. This Goddess of yogic asceticism can bless us with intuitive powers. Tara controls the effects of planet Jupiter.  Visit AstroVed.com or Pillaicenter.com to read about each Goddess and the energies that are available for us during their night.

Ganesha’s 4th MoonTuesday, Oct 4th 2016 Ganesha is very powerful and present on the 4th and 14th moon phases. Call on him to remove your obstacles by chanting his mantra, Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha. Roll and break a coconut to remove obstacles and karma.

The 6th Waxing MoonThursday, Oct 6th/7th, 2016, The 6th Waxing Moon (called Shasti in Sanskrit) is the most appropriate time to win the battle against negativity and evil eyes. This is a peak day for absorbing the energies of Lord Muruga (a divine warrior/healer) and the planet Mars. Read about Lord Muruga on AstroVed. Chant Muruga’s mantra on this day.  “Om Saum Saravanabavaya Namaha”

The 8th Waxing MoonFriday/Saturday Oct 7th/8th, 2016 This is the time to propitiate Kala Bhairava, the God of Time.  If we we want to change our lives, we need to change our time and speed things up.  Lord Kala Bhairava, the manifestation of Lord Shiva, is twirled with serpents all around his body and his divine vehicle is the dog. On pleasing this deity, you will be powered with the habit of punctuality. Read all about Kala Bhairava here.

Navaratri or Nine Nights of the GoddessOct 1 – 9, 2016 The ancient Sanskrit text dedicated to the Supreme Goddess, called ‘Shrimad Devi Bhagvatam’, considers Her greater than the Trinity (archetypes Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva). Navaratri is the power time when Goddesses descend to the Earth plane in different forms each night. This is a very important time to do participate in powerful ceremonies because the Goddess, the divine feminine archetypal energy that is behind success and manifestation, is available in abundance. Both Pillai Center and AstroVed offer rituals for this important event. AstroVed lists the 10 forms of the Goddess that will be invoked and what their energies are.
