Dr. Baskaran Pillai is an international teacher, spiritual leader, humanitarian and scholar-mystic from South India. Dr. Pillai’s mission is to alleviate human pain and suffering in all forms through educational and humanitarian initiatives.

Pillai’s academic credentials include Master’s degrees in English Literature and Comparative Literature from Madurai University and a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, where he served as a teaching fellow in the Department of Religious Studies and Coordinator of Indian Studies.

Dr. Pillai has authored Life Changing Sounds: Tools from the Other Side, Miracles of the Avatar, One Minute Guide to Prosperity and Enlightenment, and the DVD program The Grace Light. Dr. Pillai was also editor of the Encyclopedia of Hinduism for the India Heritage Foundation.

Dr. Pillai founded the Pillai Center as an institution for spiritual education with an aim toward enhancing human intelligence and positively transforming all aspects of life.

Dr. Pillai’s unique vision includes the Mind-Sound Technology program, which develops sound-based media and educational programs for youth, and Astroved.com Pvt. Ltd, which is devoted to propagating Vedic Science.

The non-profit Tripura Foundation is Dr. Pillai’s commitment to abolishing extreme poverty and hunger. For over 20 years, Tripura’s programs have helped eradicate hunger, educate children, and empower women and girls. The “HoPE Town Initiative” provides sustainable, environmentally-friendly housing for India’s poorest, transforming slums into vibrant, modern communities. Tripura Foundation sponsors Girlstown and Boystown residential facilities for impoverished children, delivering feeding and other relief programs for poor, mentally ill and destitute children around the world.
