Powertime: Shiva is Sacred Fire on the Full Moon

Wednesday, October 24

“The Full Moon is the Moon to get involved in acts of prosperity. It’s the time to get involved in the mundane world and ask for material blessings. Then you have that energy – anything to do with starting a new business, or buying clothes or houses, things like that. Praying for that would be appropriate for this time because it is very conducive for those activities.” – Dr. Pillai

Wednesday’s Full Moon is a very special annual Moon for invoking Shiva to help dissolve negative karma from both current and past lives. It’s called Anna Abishekam.

On Anna Abishekam, Vedic priests perform Hydration Prayers using Shiva Lingam statues, the symbol of the Karma Removal Archetype’s infinite power. What sets these prayers apart from others is an offering of cooked rice. According to tradition, this can help bring a happy, fulfilling, and well-fed life.

3 Powertimes in 1

Shiva’s not the only actor in this Full Moon powertime. Wealth Goddess Lakshmi is said to rule Full Moons. According to a recent Agastya reading, the great Master Dattatreya will celebrate his birthday on this Full Moon as well. Scroll down for details on group prayer offerings.

Karma is a set of thought and energy patterns that interfere with goal achievement, manifestation, and enlightenment. Below, you’ll learn ways to dissolve these patterns and create healthier ones that align with your most sincere goals.

The Full Moon is said to amplify the fruits of these efforts. Learn how to transmute your karma below.

MANTRAS & AT-HOME PRACTICE:

Use Lakshmi’s wealth mantra: Shreem Brzee. It invokes the Goddess to help you eliminate poverty consciousness and attract spiritual and material wealth. Chant it as often as possible, even while shopping or when waiting in line to pay for your Slurpee.

Invoke Shiva with his karma-busting mantra: Thiru Neela Kantam. The mantra literally means “Blue Throat.” It refers to a mythical story in which Shiva drank snake venom that poisoned the Ocean of Milk. His throat turned blue in the process, and the venom transmuted without affecting him. The poison represents karma. For stubborn karma, you’ll want to create a momentum that deepens your connection with the mantra by chanting it regularly. When chanting, visualize a blue light in your throat.

4 POWERTIME ENHANCERS:

Join the North America-based Shreem Brzee Full Moon Fire Lab on Tuesday, October 23 PDT. It is led by one of Dr. Pillai’s western teachers. This month, it will be live-streamed from Toronto. Chanting Shreem Brzee in a group multiplies its blessings. Participant Aynes Narciso says, “I love the intensity of the Goddess energy that came through. Thank you!”

Our Vedic priests invite you to join another event. Sponsor the Receive Greater Wealth of Consciousness Interactive Fire Lab on October 24. Dr. Pillai teaches that Shreem Brzee increases both material and spiritual wealth consciousness and dissolves poverty consciousness and spiritual shortcomings.

Join the Abishekam Hydration Prayers, food feeding, and cooked rice offerings on October 24. You also have the option of joining combined prayer services for Anna Abishekam and Dattatreya’s Birthday. The offerings will be at Arunachala, the mountain believed to be Shiva in his Sacred Fire form.
