What Is a Mantra? The Sacred Sound Technology
“Mantra is nada, a very special sound. It’s not a sound, actually. A mantra cannot be translated. It is language working or sound waves working at the highest efficacious level. It is nuclear power.
Ancient Technology: Mantras and the Mahabharata
During the Mahabharata, the Epic of India, they used nuclear power, just through the use of a mantra. They were still using bow and arrow, but they would speak to the arrow, ‘Go and hit this target and come back.’
Even now, scientists have discovered there is still radiation in the site where the Mahabharata war took place. So the nuclear power can be accessed through the mantra. Not a long mantra, no need to chant it forever.
The Divine Power of One Chant: Lord Rama’s Mantra
Rama, for instance, Lord Rama was taught the mantras by his guru, Vishwamitra and Vashishta, and so many others. And Vishwamitra said, Rama learnt the mantra only once, and he chanted it also only once. Why? His consciousness was already Divine, because he was an avatar in a human body.
Divine Meaning of Sri Vidya
Sri Vidya means, Sri Vidya, the Goddess’s knowledge or wisdom. The secret mantras are called Sri Vidya. They are secret, and they are also open.
I’m going to teach you something, give you one syllable, the first part of Sri Vidya, which you already know. So what is the big deal? The big deal is receiving the mantra with the blessings of the teacher or the guru.
Swami Rama’s Journey: A True Seeker of Sri Vidya
There was a great man who lived in the U.S., Swami Rama. He came here, and then he stopped his heart in the Menninger Foundation, and he also started the Himalayan Institute.
He wanted the Sri Vidya mantra, so he had to renounce a great position he held. He was one of the Popes, Shankaracharya, and he saw Ramana Maharshi. After meeting Ramana Maharshi, he said, ‘I don’t want to be a fake guru anymore. This position is a fake. It’s a sacred position, but I am fake.’
So he left the position of the Pope, the Hindu Pope, and went to the Himalayas. He was looking for the guru who knew the secrets of Sri Vidya — Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath in the Himalayas.
He wanted to receive the Sri Vidya initiation from Brahmananda Saraswati, but he would leave his cave in the morning and come back only late in the evening. He wouldn’t talk to anyone. Swami Rama was frustrated, and finally, he got to meet him, which is a long story, and he refused to give him that initiation.
Why? He didn’t think that he was worthy to receive it. So that is how… The guru and student relationship is a prerequisite. Not that Swami Rama was an ordinary man, he was an accomplished yogi who could stop his heart.
I had a chat with him in person in his medical school in the Himalayas, right before he passed away. But anyway, I told the story to illustrate the fact that how precious is the teaching of Sri Vidya. So I never thought that I would ever teach it, but now it is the time, the world is ready.
Mantra and Modern Science: The Link to Artificial General Intelligence
I was reading something about the AGI. AGI is artificial general intelligence, which uses nuclear power. They are trying to program on an atom instead of a chip. The atom will be the medium to receive the knowledge.
So what will happen to the world? We do not know. They said that the world is going to end with AGI. It’s possible. I can understand that. Even OpenAI has a lot of threat. There are so many threats, because that knowledge ultimate is dangerous. When there is no value, as long as money and body are important for us, highest knowledge is dangerous.
Dr. Pillai Reveals the First Mantra of Sri Vidya
But anyway, I am supposed to give it to you today, and I will do that. Thus, as I said, it has to be received with blessings, and I have decided to bless you, to give this sound, which you already know.
The sound is Aim, which is one of the mantras of Sri Vidya. What will it do? This English word or sound, Aim, which means the eyes, your eyes. It also means your ‘I’ consciousness. I can go on talking about it for about an hour at least to explain that, but that’s not needed.
Just to say, the sound ‘AI’ in the eyes, and look at my eyes and your eyes. And my eyes should pierce through your eyes, and your eyes I will pierce through, and the eyeballs should not move. Keep on looking at me, then I will give the sound.
I am now getting out of my eyes so that I can go to the third eye and then look at all of you without differentiation. And now you keep on looking at my eyes, and I’m going to put the sound Aim, Aim, Aim into your eyes. With open eyes, receive the sound Aim, piercing through your eyeballs, hitting the retina, and going into the back of the head, the cerebellum.
Now close your eyes and internalize the sound Aim in the eyes and feel it in the cerebellum, the back of the brain. That is our miraculous brain. The cerebellum is the miraculous brain, the divine brain.

This mantra will give you omniscience. This is the foremost mantra of Sri Vidya. We are very thankful to Saraswati, the Goddess of this mantra. We are also thankful to Lalitha Tripura Sundari, the Goddess of the Sri Vidya tradition. We are thankful to the tradition of the gurus of Sri Vidya. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
