The True Meaning of Christmas: The Light Body and Eternal Life
Dr. Pillai: “This Christmas is a very special one. It’s not going to be like any other Christmas that went by. Why do I say that? Because the Bible will be understood very differently. Jesus will be understood very differently. I don’t want to make this a long presentation but rather a very short and precise one.
Why Did Jesus Come to Earth?
Why did Jesus come here in the first place? He came to put an end to human suffering and to create heaven on earth. And what did he mean by heaven on earth? He used the term “eternal life,” and he was very precise: You just don’t want to be eating the bread and dying. Instead, you should eat the bread that will give you a heavenly life.
All these teachings are not philosophical or mystical sayings. They are real because Jesus demonstrated, while he was alive, what they meant for human life.
Understanding Human Suffering
Human life is suffering, no matter who you are, and it will continue to be suffering as long as you live in the flesh. The flesh has to come to an end. We have to finish the “flesh and blood” business.
Jesus demonstrated this. When He was on the cross, and when He resurrected, He was very happy to invite people and give them something. What did He say to His disciples? “Come and take all these Siddhi Powers.”
We are not here to toil and work hard, only to get sick and then die. That’s not the life we were meant to live. That is a sinful life.
The Body is Sin
What is sin? The body is sin. The sin has to come to an end. And how will it come to an end? When you have the resurrected body of Jesus—a body that will no longer be subjected to the limitations of flesh and blood.
When Jesus resurrected with a light body, He was very happy to give this power to His disciples. He said, “Come and receive power; receive the Holy Spirit.”
The Evolution of the Human Race
This is the essence of the Bible, the essence of Jesus, and the essence of the evolution of the human race.
Biologically, we have reached the limit of what we can do to evolve. Biological evolution has stopped. The next evolution for us is working with the qubit. Qubit refers to quantum bits, and that’s what Jesus was doing.
Jesus’ Miracles as Evolution
What was Jesus doing? He was healing people, not with medicine. He was giving sight to the blind, not with surgery. Everything was done instantaneously, including turning water into wine. That is evolution.
That is the kingdom. The kingdom is not about ruling the whole world. That’s not worth it because even then, you are still going to grow old, get sick, and die.
The Future of Humanity
What is the future of humanity? The future is that we all become angels—no pain, no aches, no death. No death.
Jesus died so that we don’t have to die. These expressions are there: “The kingdom is within.” We already have everything we need within us.
The One Message of Jesus
The single message of Jesus is to evolve—to end the physical body and to become a light body being. When you are a light body being, you go to heaven and sit with God.
This is resurrection. This is the birth of Jesus Christ. That is why He came here.
The True Meaning of the Second Coming
The resurrection of Jesus Christ, or the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, does not mean that He is going to descend and walk in Jerusalem or appear in the sky.
The Second Coming means Jesus will give us the ability that He had.
We Are Divine Beings
What ability did Jesus have? Someone could touch His clothes and be healed. Why? Because He was divine.
So are we. We are divine as well. Fundamentally, we are light beings.
No matter what happens in the world, even if we complete quantum computing or create a quantum computer, we will still suffer as long as we are in this physical body.
True Communion with Jesus
The real meaning of communion with Jesus is getting rid of the flesh and blood and passing over death. It’s a Passover.
We pass over death. Jesus insisted that everyone should understand the new covenant of Passover.
Dying to the Body
Jesus died. He died to His body so that we, too, could die to our bodies.
You find the same message repeated by Swami Ramalingam. There is only one answer for human suffering, and that is the deathless body—a light body.
Misidentification of the Self
Jesus got the light body, and He wanted everyone to have it. But we continue to identify with the flesh, the blood, our bank balances, and this illusionary world.
That is what we must remember on this day, which signifies the end of human suffering.
The Cause of Death and Suffering
There is no meaning or sense in living with all the problems we have. Why? Because of our misidentification of the true self with the body, and not with the Spirit.
God created man in His own image. God did not want anyone to die. Death came because of rationality and duality.
Ending Duality
Duality will end when the two eyes become one. Jesus talked about that too.
As long as there are two eyes, there will be duality. Two days ago, I was looking at the mirror, and I had only one eye. Oh, my God! I never had an experience like that.
The Kingdom Within
Jesus wanted me to talk about the two eyes becoming one.
He was not concerned with creating a geographical kingdom on Earth. The kingdom is within you. You already have everything you need because you are God.
When people threw stones at Jesus, why did they do it? Because He called Himself God.
What did Jesus ask them? “Doesn’t your Scripture say that you are also God?”
Revisiting Jesus’ Teachings
All these important teachings of Jesus—the two eyes becoming one, the kingdom within, eternal life, salvation, being born again—need to be re-understood.
Unfortunately, we have forgotten these teachings.
Being Born Again
To be born again doesn’t mean being born with the physical body. It means to be born again as Spirit.
Transforming the Body
It’s time for governments and institutions to revisit Jesus’ teachings and understand communion properly—not just drinking wine and breaking bread, but transforming the body.
Spending billions to find a molecule for cancer is not the answer.
The Body Will Turn Into Light
“In the blink of an eye, the body will turn into light,” Corinthians says.
This body will never inherit the kingdom. Why? Because it is corrupt. We should be ashamed of it.
The Prototype of the Light Body
Jesus demonstrated this by killing His own body and resurrecting with a light body.
He provided a prototype for all of us to follow. That is Christian life—not following certain dogmas.
Gratitude to God
This is what everyone should reflect on. This is how we pay gratitude to God and to Jesus.
Let us create a world where there is no suffering, no death, and where life is truly worthwhile.
We are meant to identify with God. Jesus said, “The Father and I are the same.” And so are we.
A Special Christmas
This is why I said this is a very special Christmas.
God bless!”
