A Unique Experience
I look forward to the New Year. The New Year almost corresponds to my Birthday which is on February 1st. What is different about 2018 from bygone years? I feel totally different biologically, psychologically, and spiritually. The joy in the Body, the joy in the Mind, and the joy in the Spirit are uprising day by day. I am drunk with the Amrita, the Elixir of Life, which is something I had not experienced ever before. On this trip, I am going to offer this to you — not through my speech — but through my Silence.
Ananda means One Who is in Bliss
People who have achieved enlightenment called themselves Anandas, such as Yogananda, Premananda, Satyananda, and Nityananda. Whether they are in Ananda or not, one does not actually know. However, when you experience it, you will be completely blissed out. And this is not only my experience but also the experience of all those who follow my teachings in that I am going to be in communion with you. You have been with me for so long, and I feel obligated to pass this Bliss Consciousness on to you.
The Bliss is going to be characterized by the absence of the Logical Mind. In Sanskrit the root, ‘nand’ means to rejoice in Bliss with a feeling of satisfaction. The prefix ‘a’ modifies this by implying ‘a return to.’ So, the word Ananda is the delight or bliss that comes from One being back in its own True Nature which surpasses the Logical Mind. It is a return to the True Self. It is pure Joy!
The Purpose of Life
When you go to the Temples in India with me, the energy there is so great that you will be blissed out. It is Irresistible Energy. My teachings are going to be reflections of the Bliss I am experiencing. It is increasing day by day. That which is outside of you cannot give you the Bliss, and you cannot get it from alcohol or drugs. Of course, you need money to buy clothes, food, and medicine. However, beyond that, you don’t need anything. You only need one thing – that is the Bliss. The Bliss Consciousness is going to be there with you forever, and this is the “Purpose of Life.”
