“The past ten days have been an economic disaster for America and the rest of the world. This is a wake-up call for the human race. Civilization could be lost very quickly, wiped out by a simple virus that can kill—this is the stark reality. No matter how prepared we are, no-one is completely protected.
We are afraid of ill health, pain, and death; nobody wants to die. Even if we have reached 90 years of age, we do not have to die. It is the media who puts fear into us. The news is all negative.
We cannot solve the problem with the same thinking that created it…
[It was Albert Einstein who said: “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”]
We have to look at both the problem and the solution. Yes, we are short of hospitals, ventilators, masks, and hand washing liquids but an effective solution is isolation and social distancing. There is no other alternative.
The solution is to keep away from people and remain in isolation. We can talk about coronavirus tips from morning to evening, but the solution is isolation.
I am not against experts coming in and presenting their opinions but these should be limited to an hour or two; it is the solution that needs to be focused upon. If they had done this a long time ago, people would not have lived in fear and the economy would not have collapsed.”
