Venus Enters Taurus

Venus is a fun planet. It is because of Venus that we have happiness in this world, particularly happiness pertaining to acquisition of material wealth and fulfillment of the senses such as luxury, vacation, clothes, jewelry and anything that gives you satisfaction.” — Dr. Pillai

Venus enters the Zodiac sign of Taurus on May 4, 2021, in both North America and Asia. Venus will be in Taurus until May 28 in North America or May 29 in parts of Asia.

Taurus is one of two signs that Venus rules. When a planet sits in a sign he rules, he feels comfortable. Taurus is symbolized by a bull, an animal with four feet firmly on the ground. Taurus is a fixed, earth-element sign with stable energies. During May, Venus in Taurus can help us become more grounded as well as help us remember to enjoy material comforts.

Venus is a planet with feminine energy. This means throughout May we are showered with some extra energy to help us connect with the divine feminine. Venus is ruled by Lakshmi, a feminine archetype of grace, purity, beauty and abundance.  May is a great month to keep the purity of flowers around in our home or office space all throughout the month. Venus is associated with all flower-bearing planets and with all seeds.

Dr. Pillai has taught the sounds Shreem Brzee to especially invoke Lakshmi in modern times. Venus in Taurus supports chanting or writing Shreem Brzee throughout May 2021.

In some branches of Christianity, May is a traditional month to honor Mary, the holy mother of Jesus, and a heavenly queen of peace. Dr. Pillai has confirmed Mary did ascend into heaven in a light body. Venus in Taurus enhances the effects of lighting a ghee lamp or tea light or candle before Mary during May. Venus is a planet of love, and the highest form of love is love of the divine.

Venus Is a Planet of Joy and Health

This transit of Venus can trigger more joy for all of us. We are naturally social beings, and during this period he can heal some of the isolation that people have suffered. When Venus enters Taurus, he can support us in finding loving and gracious connections with people even if many of us must still continue to follow some social distancing guidelines in our local areas.

Among the planets, Venus is considered the nurse. While the Sun is a principal planet for health, Venus is associated with great healing energies. In the Vedic tradition, the archetype Venus is considered the son of enlightened sage, Maharishi Brighu (also spelled Brghu).

Brighu has a great reputation as a fire-ceremony priest and for his wisdom as a teacher of astrology. Brighu taught his son Venus many things, including the sounds to bring the dead back to life.

When Venus enters Taurus, he can give us interest to protect our health and improve our immune system. Dr. Pillai has shared that the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra has sounds to help protect health. In addition, Venus in Taurus enhances the soothing sounds of mantra for Dhanvantari, healing aspect of Vishnu, consort of Lakshmi.

Venus Is a Bright Planet

One of the Sanskrit names of Venus is Shukra (or Sukra) which means Bright. Venus often appears bright in the sky. In some cultures, Venus is called Morning Star or Evening Star. Some people like to look for Venus in the sky and enjoy the bright light.

A simple mantra for Venus is Om Shukraya Namaha

Venus – Shukra or Bright One

Venus is the planet who rules our conscious desires. He helps us evaluate what things are worth to us in terms of our:

  • Time
  • Money
  • Energy

When Venus enters Taurus, it is a good time to make 2 lists to improve practical results:

  • On one paper, list all the people, places and things that you interact with that leaving you feeling brighter, more positive or happier.
  • On another paper, list all the people places and things that you interact with that leaving you feeling a bit drained or more negative.

These lists can change over time. It is possible someone could be on both lists. For example, maybe you love a relative or a friend who is sometimes good to speak with and other times the same relative or friend is not so helpful.

Ask Venus to give you the wisdom and resolve to increase the interactions on the first list and to reduce the interactions on the second list. This might mean learning to have the discernment to figure out when is a good time to approach the relative or friend who could be good to speak with and when to postpone a conversation until later.

In addition, we can ask Venus in Taurus to make our thoughts, words and actions brighter with more positive focus, positive intention and positive results.

Science News: Tremendous Physical Heat of Venus

While we do think of Venus as one of the planets of passion (Mars is another one), Venus is actually physically “hot”!

According to the NASA site:

“Venus spins slowly in the opposite direction from most planets. A thick atmosphere traps heat in a runaway greenhouse effect, making it the hottest planet in our solar system.

Venus isn’t the closest planet to the Sun, but it is the hottest in our solar system. Between the intense heat (900 degrees Fahrenheit heat, or 480 degrees Celsius), the corrosive sulfuric clouds and a crushing atmosphere that is 90 times denser than Earth’s, landing a spacecraft there is incredibly challenging. Of the nine Soviet probes that achieved the feat, none lasted longer than 127 minutes.”

Practical Actions of Compassion

This is a gentle reminder that Venus and all the planets like it when we perform acts of compassion. It is always a good gesture to do an act of kindness for others such as feed a hungry person or help an elderly or a disabled person or make a donation to Dr. Pillai’s charity Tripura Foundation or any other charity of your choice.

When Venus enters Taurus, it is a good time to do something compassionate that “warms” our own heart, whether with time, money or energy.

May we attune to the positive blessings of Venus in Taurus and be open to connecting with the divine feminine.

May light encompass all. SHREEM BRZEE.
