Good morning my dearest fellow spiritual traveler on this Saturday morning March 17, 2018! Sucharita welcomed everyone to the Powertime Practice call by reminding us that the next nine nights are the Nine Nights of the Goddess or Vasant Navaratri. We are going to be celebrating the energies of the Goddess today in our meditation. The first three nights are for Durga. Durga is a fierce Goddess who roots out all negative qualities or duḥkha in our souls. Durga can help with relationships. The next three nights will be for the Maha Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth. She will destroy blocks in our manifestations. The final three nights will be for Saraswati. She is the Goddess of education and creativity. She will root out ignorance and give wisdom. Wisdom is something that we cannot learn but must experience. Saraswati helps us to experience the wisdom of knowing when and how to speak.
Sucharita performed a puja or offering to the Goddesses by playing each goddess’s mantra and giving different gifts to them. First, as always, we propitiate Ganesha by chanting Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha. Next we called on Shiva by concentrating, starting at the base of the spine, chanting Ah, then to the heart chakra- Ooh, next the throat chakra- Ma, to the middle of brain-Om, back down to base of the spine Na, .on to the navel-Ma, on to the heart –Shi,to the throat and mouth-Va , and finally to the two eyes and right and left brain-Ya. We imagine Dr. Pillai in front of us, beaming a laser beam of light from his third eye to our third eye, asking him to open our third eye. Chant Om Drum Dattatreya Shiva Baba Namaha. She offered incense and light from a ghee lamp to Ganesha, Lakshmi, Durga, and Saraswati. Then she offered fruit to the goddesses (lemon for Durga, orange for Lakshmi, apple for Saraswati). Next she chanted the seed sounds for the Goddesses while chanting (Dum for Durga, Shreem Brzee for Lakshmi, Aim for Saraswati), and offering flower petals. Be sure to watch or listen to the recording to see this entire beautiful ceremony.
Sucharita told us that the 3-D version of the Goddess yantra is called Maha Meru, available here and here ..She also told us about the various programs available for the Goddess at this time. Go to AstroVed or Pillai Center for these programs. Two “evergreen” (available perennially) programs are also available at the Pillai Academy called Goddess Wisdom and also Navaratri: 9 Nights of the Goddess. Do your propitiating of the Goddesses from 9:00 PM – 2:00 AM for the next nine nights. She mentions the colors that awaken the consciousness of the Goddesses within ourselves-Red for Durga, Pink for Lakshmi and White for Saraswati. Wear these colors to enliven the goddesses within. Offer something sweet to the goddesses, also they like citrus fruit.
Sucharita mentioned that the program from the Pillai Center Academy called Wealth Rising, is just wrapping up but a new one will be starting in May. Sucharita has been performing Friday night Fire Labs in this program. Check into Pillai Center for registration.

- 4TH MOON – GANESHA REMOVES OBSTACLES

The 6th Waxing Moon (called Shasti in Sanskrit) is the most appropriate time to win the battle against negativity and evil eyes. This is a peak day for absorbing the energies of Lord Muruga (a divine warrior/healer) and the planet Mars. Muruga specializes in solving problems such as credit card debt, legal issues, health problems, etc. Call on Muruga by chanting Om SaRaVaNaBaVaon this day and by pouring milk/juice/water over a vel.
