  5. Celebrate Vedic New Year...

sun aries 3On April 14, 2015 at 4:10 a.m. EST the Sun transits into the first house of the zodiac, Aries. This celestial movement initiates Vedic New Year 2015, which represents a fresh new start for you and for the world.

Dr. Pillai shares:  “The moment Sun moves into Aries, it is the time for renewal, for self-confidence, and for joy and we have to use this time. For the 30 days that Sun will be in Aries, it is the time for you to make important changes in your life.”

Every Vedic New Year is unique and receives a name – 2015 will be called Kāmadeva. Kāmadeva is the Hindu god of human love. In the west he is called Cupid; in Tamil he is called Manmatha. This means that there are possibilities for relationship breakthroughs. This is the theme for the whole year, and the energy will be supporting that. You may wish to do astrological remedies or take other practical steps to mend relationship problems. Kleem is the miracle mantra for loving relationships. Learn more here.

The Sun is our soul, our vitality, royalty consciousness, and symbolizes one’s father. Everything in our star system revolves around the Sun. Because the Sun is exalted in Aries, he becomes very powerful, and he can impact us more. The Sun is our very breath, our consciousness, and life. Dr. Pillai reminds you to become conscious every day. If you remain alert and use the solar energy, you can make important changes in your life.

An interesting note from Astroved is that the energy from the Sun is absorbed into us via gamma rays. These rays are simply the light from the sun that does no harm to your physical body but brings in higher vibrations to your subtle body.

Aries is the most action-oriented of all the signs. It is called Mesha in Sanskrit. Aries is a fiery, movable sign symbolized by a ram. A ram is an agile, adventurous animal that can climb up mountain slopes that look impossibly steep. Sometimes rams butt heads with others.

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, which relates to your self, identity, and physical body. It is ruled by Mars, a planet of action, problem-solving, and courage.

Mars, the overlord of Aries, is also transiting Aries until May 3rd. Mars is a planet of courage, action, and problem-solving. Mars and Saturn are good friends and will support each other. You can connect to Sun and Mars this month and receive the power for action and growth. Bojth Mars and Sun are fiery planets. Fire is intense, transforming, and focused. Fire always burns up; it helps us take action and make progress. Fire can burn and purify.

AstroVed notes that this year there are possibilities for spiritual blessings, self-actualization, and engaging in noble actions.

This month is the best time of the year to set your goals for the coming 12 months because the exalted Sun will energize them and help you take action to realize them. You may experience higher energy levels and increased ability to take action. It’s a good time to do activities to advance yourself. You may need to focus on your health, career or personal needs. But be careful not to give in to impatience, anger, or selfishness.

The Sun can do the following for you:

  • Dispel your karma
  • Dissolve mediocre life
  • Give you power and energy

 The Sun’s Gayathri Mantra
