Good Saturday morning on this Powertime Practice call with Sucharita on January 26, 2019!

Today is Saturday, ruled by Saturn.  Saturn delivers intense karma.  If we pay attention, we can get through our karma lightly.

Sucharita showed us a picture of Dr. Pillai with his hand raised in blessing-mode.  He is a Sat Guru who can teach us know our true selves, or our Divine Selves.  He can protect us if we put our faith in him.  She also showed us a statue of Dr. Pillai.  She explains that when we have a statue of the guru, it is like having a landing pad for his influence to arrive at.

The moon represents our mind so depending on the moon phase, our minds will be affected.  Tomorrow is the beginning of the 8th moon, which is the day for Kala Bhairava, the God of Time.  There are 8 different forms of his being-Asitanga Bhairava, Ruru Bhairava, Chanda Bhairava, Krotha Bhairava, Unmatha Bhairava, Kapaala Bhairava, Bheeshana Bhairava and Samhara Bhairava.

The sun represents our soul.  The sun is now transiting the sign of Capricorn, the “purpose” house. This is a good time to check internally to reflect on our real purpose in life.

In our meditation today we are making offerings to the 5 elements of our lives: earth (fruit), water (water), fire (light in form of ghee lamp), air (incense), and space (flowers).  Sucharita tells us that when we are making our offerings, it is important to always add flowers or flower petals to the offerings.  This makes our blessings to the elements and gods fly quickly, like a text message to the Divine.  We made offerings to all 8 forms of Kala Bhairava:

Dr. Pillai’s birthday is February 1st, and he will be leading a trip in India for a whole week.  Dr. Pillai is a Sat guru, or dispeller of darkness, and it is a great blessing to be in his presence on his birthday.  “There are sacred spaces in India where you just walk in and it absorbs your karma. Simply coming into contact with the space is therapeutic.” — Dr. Pillai. The Birthday Trip will be starting near a special New Moon called Thai Amavasya.  A special ritual to honor your ancestors, tarpanam, is the best thing to do. Here is the link to a video teaching you how to offer tarpanam.

Thai Amavasya is one of the important New Moons to reduce the impact of Pitru Dosha, known as ancestral affliction. This affliction, which happens due to non-performance of Tarpanam (Ancestral Offerings), can impact you to a great extent and may manifest as prolonged illnesses, misunderstandings at home, no career progress, financial instability, and progeny-related issues. Offering tarpanam is how you can remedy this.

Udyamo Bhairava is Kala Bhairava’s mantra. Here is the link to the Yogic Sleep mp3. Here is the link to the Fix your relationship program.

Kala Bhairava has the ability to dissolve repetitive negative patterns that result in procrastination, lethargy, anxiety, and lack of motivation. Kala Bhairava makes you value your time so you can make the best use of the opportunities at hand and maximize gains. Udyamo Bhairava is a mantra for Timeline Jumping.

Ekadasi is the day when Vishnu’s blessings for wealth and health are abundant. Chant Om Namo Narayanaya for Vishnu or Shreem Brzee for his consort, Lakshmi.

The 13th Moon phase is called Pradosham, a karma-removing time. 1 1/2 hours before sunset through sunset is the most powerful time to pray to Siva to dissolve your bad karma. Hydrate a sivalinga by pouring water/milk/juice over it as you chant the karma busting mantra, Thiru Neela Kantam Makaral ShivayanamaVisualize blue light in your throat. Roll and break a coconut or lime(s) to remove karma.

Saturday Feb 2, 10:48 AM ET

Ganesha is especially very powerful and present on the 4th and 14th moon phases. Call on him to remove your obstacles by chanting his mantra, Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha. Roll and break a coconut or lime(s) to remove obstacles and karma.
