Sucharita welcomed us onto the Powertime Practice call today Saturday October 5, 2019 by looking at the AstroVed calendar! She explains that we are here together to check out what the powertimes of the day, week and month are and to learn the tips and tool that Dr. Pillai has taught us. This time of the year is called Navaratri or Nine Nights of the Goddess. Dr. Pillai is in India right now celebrating Navaratri with a group of devotees. “Nava” means nine and “ratri” means night.
For the past 6 nights we have been getting rocked by the goddesses. The goddess loves it when we donate time or money to help others. (An easy way to do this is to donate to the Tripura Foundation. Durga is the first goddess that we propitiate for the first three nights of Navaratri. She will annihilate the negative aspects of your life. Her color is red and she carries 6 weapons to protect you. Next was Lakshmi who gives us energy and power to root out the seeds of poverty consciousness. Her color is pink. And now we are celebrating Saraswati, the Goddess of Wisdom, Education and the Arts. She was the consort of Brahma, the creator god. She will give us the wisdom and knowledge that comes out of nowhere. Saraswati’s color is white.
We are also going to honor the goddess Angali. Angali is Mother Kali, the Mother Divine who will give Siddhi powers. She is an educator. She is also a form of Saraswati, the Goddess of learning and who can even transform a person who is illiterate into a great poet of all time like Kalidasa. Angali is the Goddess who belongs to the Satya Yuga and that’s why she is associated with the highest form of knowledge or wisdom which is to perform miracles, the Miracle Goddess.

The 13th Moon phase is called Pradosham, a karma-removing time. 1 1/2 hours before sunset through sunset is the most powerful time to pray to Siva to dissolve your bad karma. Hydrate a sivalinga by pouring water/milk/juice over it as you chant the karma busting mantra, Thiru Neela Kantam Makaral Shivayanama. Visualize blue light in your throat. Roll and break a coconut or lime(s) to remove karma.
14 MOON – GANESHA REMOVES OBSTACLES
