Bring Non-Depleting Wealth Into Your Life On Akshaya Tritiya
Dr. Pillai: “Akshaya Tritiya is a very important day to develop Wealth Consciousness. The Moon is always associated with certain energy, and all the festivals correspond to the positioning of the Moon in the Indian Tradition. It influences the mind. That’s why we have the expression ‘lunacy’ – we have a special energy from the Moon.
Significance of Akshaya Tritiya
Akshaya Tritiya is a Third Moon powertime, and Akshaya means non-decreasing. It is the time that you can nurture and cultivate the concept of non-declining or non-depleting wealth. It is a fantastic concept because people do not usually think about wealth as not decreasing. This astronomical time is very important to hold, nurture, and promote that concept within your consciousness.
Akshaya Tritiya – A Time of Non-Depleting Wealth
Everything is holding an idea in consciousness, but most of the time what we do is have negative ideas in our consciousness. But this time is very auspicious to just hold the idea of ‘I want a non-depleting wealth.’ That is why on this day people in India go and buy gold – the idea is once you buy the gold and keep it there, then you keep buying gold, because gold is the real money.
Mythology Behind Akshaya Tritiya
Akshaya Tritiya has been both historically and mythologically documented. It was the day when Ganesha started writing the Mahabharata, and it is also the day that Parasurama and Annapoorna were born.
Annapoorna was Goddess Parvati who came to feed the entire world. It is also the day when Ganga came to this Earth Plane, and the day that the Akshaya Patra, [‘Patra’ meaning bowl] was given to the five Pandava brothers. The bowl kept giving them rice and whatever they wanted and it took place on that day. The food never runs out from this bowl.
This is also the day that Kubera, the Banker of Heaven, and Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth were given special powers by Lord Shiva. Finally, this also happens to be the day when Sudama, the friend of Krishna, visited Krishna and then Krishna gave him incredible wealth. It is a celebration for both Lakshmi as well as for Kubera.
How Akshaya Tritiya Can Help You
If you are able to access this energy on this day, you can keep it in your consciousness, and that will enable you to develop this concept that your wealth should never not only run down, but also keep improving.
Astronomical phenomena are very important; almost all festivals and important rituals are done only under such auspicious times. If you are able to capture that moment and preserve it in your own body, mind, and soul, that will be very useful to grow with and keep it with you.
I want people to take advantage of this very precious astronomical moment of Akshaya Tritiya. In the Indian Traditions, this Third Moon is a time for observing a fast to enhance your consciousness. We have special celebrations for that, to develop this non-depleting wealth consciousness.”
