As we go about our chores this holiday season, we hear the traditionally soulful songs announcing the birth of a great spiritual Savior. Fittingly, the Sun, the Vedic planet of the soul, is now setting out to shine from high-minded and religious Sagittarius.
Traditionally, this is a fantastic astronomical and astrological event that marks the holiday season and a time of great hope for humanity.
In Vedic astrology, noble and optimistic Jupiter rules Sagittarius—a sign focused on the spiritual and transcendent, philosophical and ethical considerations, human and divine laws, university and post-graduate education, all teachers and spiritual gurus, the world’s major religions and faraway pilgrimages.
Between December 15, 2017 and January 14, 2018 EST, the Sun will travel with Saturn in Sagittarius. Saying that these two planets are incompatible would be an understatement, because Saturn is the worst enemy of the Sun.
Yet with a little guidance and by using this time wisely, this month can become a springboard for your long-term success.
So, tune into the jolly vibes of the season, extend a loving hand to others, and end suffering. Here for you—three easy ways to improve your health, embrace your divine origins, stay cheerful and succeed in 2018!
1. Uncover your powers
The Sun represents royalty, as well as your personal power. Yet too much focus on ourselves can be counterproductive.
In fact, personal sovereignty and service to others are not incompatible. They’re indeed the hallmarks of a good king or leader.
When the Sun meets with Saturn, however, achievements are delayed, and overcoming our frustration during prolonged delays isn’t always easy.
Fortunately, the conjunction of the Sun with Saturn can also help you bypass difficulties through perseverance and an unbeatable desire to succeed.
During the next three weeks, you have a rare opportunity to focus on your goals, tap into your hidden resources and discover the power of your soul.
The simplest method to get in touch with your authentic desires for self-empowerment and success come from the deeper nature of the Self.
According to the yogis and the Vedic tradition, great self-empowerment blossoms through your spiritual practice—and it’s almost a must for discovering your purpose, acquiring more wisdom and increasing intelligence.
- Rise early in the predawn hours. If possible, set your alarm for 4 am. This time is known as Brahma Muhurta and believed to deepen your practice—granting you spiritual powers.
- Give to charity to improve your karmic thoughts of scarcity and fear.
- Pray to Lord Vishnu for well-being and wealth. Recite OM NAMO NARAYANAYA 108 times any time you need help with your material or spiritual goals. Thank Vishnu.
- Recite OM SURYAYA NAMAHA 108 times on Sundays. Ask the Sun for energy, good health, success and wealth. Thank the Sun—he is both alive and conscious and can hear you.
- Recite OM GURAVE NAMAHA 108 times on Thursdays. Ask Jupiter for higher wisdom, righteousness and evolution. Ask for material wealth. Thank Jupiter.
2. Invitation from the Divine
The Gods are said to wake up before sunrise and worship Lord Vishnu—the Vedic archetype who sustains the universe—during the passage of the Sun through Sagittarius (Dec. 15, 2017-January 14, 2018 EST).
This passage of the Sun is called Dhanur Masa, an incredibly positive time for bettering yourself and preparing for your future success.
However, this 29-day period is not considered too auspicious for ceremonies such as weddings, inaugurations or baby naming rituals.
3. Expect miracles in 2018!
“Waiting is a waste of time,” says Dr. Pillai. So even though the time after January 15 will be more productive for your material success, you can use powerful Vedic technology for positioning yourself among the winners of 2018.
Fire rituals—or Fire Labs—to the Sun, Saturn, Vishnu and Hanuman will remove negativity and bring you good fortune in spiritual and material matters.
Sagittarius’ ruler, Jupiter, is sending you his benevolent rays for financial wealth combined with higher vision; the Sun is bringing righteousness and service to a higher cause; Saturn is contributing practicality and staying power.
Connect with your spiritual Guru, pray in the early morning and stay blindly positive. With hope, clear vision and generosity, no matter the circumstances—your success will be certain.
