Virgo is the most practical and detail-oriented of the signs. It is ruled by Mercury, a planet of intellect, communication, business, and wealth. In Sanskrit, Virgo is called Kanya. Virgo is symbolized by a virgin in a boat with grains in one hand and a light in the other. The virgin signifies purity and love of the Goddess energy. Virgo has to do with being detail oriented, doing service, health, purification, managing the details, having a drive for perfection, and impeccability. Perfection through purification. Sun in Virgo is going to be illuminating the details in life. Virgo reminds us, though, that deep within matter is pure Divine energy. Virgo is also associated with Goddess energy, including siddhi (supernatural) powers.
Virgo is the natural 6th house of the zodiac. It may be a different house (1-12) for you personally, depending on your own birth chart. But for the world in general, Virgo is the natural 6th house of the zodiac. 6th house energy may include material problems such as disease, enemies, debt, and litigation.
But don’t worry – the 6th house is actually considered one of the Sun’s more favorable transits. And you can improve 6th house issues by doing remedies. A good remedy is to invoke Muruga and his weapon the vel – because he’s a specialist in destroying debt, disease, enemies, and legal problems. The other remedy is to do selfless service – then you may experience healing powers and other spiritual powers.
