What is the Holy Spirit?

In Abrahamic religion, the Holy Spirit, also known as the Holy Spirit, is an aspect or agent of God through which God communicates with people or acts on them.

In Judaism, it refers to God’s divine power, quality, and influence on the universe or its creation. In Nicene Christianity, the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, and as per Islam, the Holy Spirit acts as an agent of divine action or communication.

The importance of knowing the Holy Spirit

Here are six reasons why it is essential to know the Holy Spirit.

1.The Holy Spirit is Person

The Holy Spirit is God, and he is part of the Trinity, and it becomes possible for us to have a relationship with him like Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is not a power to use, not a ghost, not even what we see. He is a person, he communicates, he has feelings.

2.He has always been, and always will be

The presence of the Holy Spirit has always been and always will be. In the life of Jesus, the Holy Spirit has always existed. He covered Mary at the moment of conception and met Jesus like a dove during the baptism. As believers, we will always need the Holy Spirit, every day and any season.

3.The Holy Spirit changes our lives

When we establish a relationship with the Holy Spirit, we can expect him to work and make a difference in our lives. The Church of St. John describes comforters, truths, and people with us and helps us remember what we have learned about God. He further added that the Holy Spirit is a counsellor, guiding us and convicting us of sin. The Holy Spirit teaches us to pray and helps us not to sin.

4.The Holy Spirit fills and equips us

Throughout the New Testament, people are filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit in his mother’s womb. Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit and was led by him into the desert. Jesus’ disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit upstairs and led Peter to preach the gospel.

5.The life led by the Holy Spirit is fruitful

When we begin to know the Holy Spirit and allow Him to work in our lives, we will always see its effects. We will develop good virtues, and If you lack good qualities, you can invite the Holy Spirit into your life for transformation.

6.It is about daily life and encounters

We are all designed to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit, and Heavenly Father is happy to give it to us. So please take a moment today to acknowledge his presence in your life and how much you need him.
