Good Saturday morning and Happy Vedic New Year to all our fellow spiritual travelers on this April 14, 2018! Sucharita welcomed us, new or experienced listeners, by reminding us why we come together each Saturday on these Powertime Practice (PTP) calls. We are here to navigate the teachings of an enlightened master, Dr. Pillai to further the journey of our souls on this earth plane, as well as amplify our spiritual practices and hold the space for each one of us. The key to Dr. Pillai’s teaching are to understanding the energies of the hours, days, months and years that are available to us. If we know what’s ahead of time, we can avoid pitfalls and take advantage of good time. She tells us that the Sun has left Pisces, the last house in the zodiac, and into Aries, the first and fiery house of the zodiac. We are starting something fresh on this Vedic New Year. We have planted the seed of our spiritual endeavors and now it is going to sprout. This is a time to turn over a new leaf, get outside and start moving.
Sucharita explains how to participate in a puja or ceremony, by closing the eyes and concentrating on the third eye. Have a “beginners” mind and just feel open to the ceremony. She started the puja by asking Ganesha to remove the obstacles , then by asking Dr. Pillai, our spiritual master, to guide us on our journey. There was a picture of the sun God sitting on 7 horses which represents the chakras, and a yantra with a sun on it, a Shiva lingam for Lord Shiva, and a crystal sun and a statue for Gayatri, the sun goddess. We invoked the sun goddess with the Gayatri mantra:
Aum
Bhur Bhuvah Svah
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi
Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat
And then we chanted Arut perum jyoti for peace and enlightenment for the whole world:

Sucharita told us that she will be facilitating a program Sunday 3 PM Pillai Center Academy Program called “Awaken With the Sun”. One listener said that she has been taking the program for a week now and it is enhancing all her spiritual practices. She told a great story about her horses. She highly recommended taking the course with Sucharita! Sucharita mentions a CD offered on Pillai Center called “Dancing with Siva” which has many of the mantras in Dr. Pillai’s own voice.
