  5. Sun Enters Gemini

hanuman27

The Sun entered Gemini on June 14th, and will continue there through July 16th, the Vedic Summer Solstice. Take advantage of this month to take lots of action towards your goals and interests.

Gemini is a sign ruled by Mercury, and it is called Mithuna in Sanskrit. It is a sign that encompasses a great range of energies. It is symbolized by an embracing couple, with the man holding a club and the woman holding a musical instrument called a lute. This shows that Gemini’s energies are wide enough to encompass physical and brute force as well as the beautiful, refined and artistic.

Gemini has a lot to do with communication and the thinking mind. You may want to do some research, reading, or study. It will be a good time to focus on communications, marketing, doing business, money, being quick and developing strategies. Take some measured risks where you plan it out and are practical. Taking risks helps you move forward in your life.

Mercury enters Gemini today, June 18th. He will be very strong in his own sign, so this will be a good chance to develop your mercurial skills. Learn something new in technology, business know-how, astrology, public speaking, writing.

Mars is also transiting Gemini. This can make your mind and relationships with siblings/friends more active, quick, and fiery. Be careful not to argue.

Sun will be Traveling through the Nakshatras of Gemini

Mrigasira is a star of curiosity symbolized by a deer’s head. It has deerlike qualities of timidity, sensitivity, and fickleness. Mrigasira corresponds to four stars in the constellation of Orion. Mrigasira also has qualities of the moon such as gentleness, perceptivity, sensuality. Goddess Parvati was born under this star. Mrigasira is oriented toward enjoyment and goddess energy.

Ardra is a star of compassion and effort. A tear of compassion is its symbol. This is Lord Siva’s own birthstar. Ardra can give you the ability to work hard to alleviate suffering of others. It’s associated with thunder and lightning rainstorms. Storms are intense but clean up the environment and lead to a fresh start. Ardra is a bright star called Betelguese now, located in the constellation of Orion. Ardra is more analytical and research oriented than Mrigasira.

Punarvasu is a star of renewal, of making things good again. Repetition and recycling are themes.  It is related to the mother earth and taking care of the environment. Punarvasi consists of two bright stars, Castor and Pollux. It is symbolized by a quiver of arrows. By itself, an arrow is easily broken, but bundled together arrow are strong and unbreakable. Has to do with going on a journey or mission and coming back safely. Can store up resources. Rama was born in the Punarvasu star.

Saturn re-enters Scorpio this week

Saturn will be entering Scorpio again on Tuesday, June 20th. Saturn will be making you revisit the lessons of the past two years from now until October 27th, when he will move on to Sagittarius.  Saturn’s influence will make you to look at the area of life that he’s influencing in your chart and take care of unfinished business. Scorpio is a sign of transformation, so it’s time to change what’s no longer working for you. Saturn will affect you according to what house (1-12) Scorpio is for you in your own personal chart:

  1. Personality, physical body
  2. Finances, Income, eating
  3. Risk-taking, courage
  4. Mind, material comforts, mother
  5. Children, manifestations, God
  6. Overcoming disease, enemies, litigation; selfless service
  7. Relationships
  8. Overcoming obstacles, accidents
  9. Grace, compassion, father
  10. Profession
  11. Profit, community, friends
  12. Enlightenment, stopping loss consciousness, foreign travel, sleep, isolated places, selfless service.

Remember you can always make better friends with Saturn by helping those who are needy, such as feeding people/making a donation/helping people on Saturdays. And burning a lamp with sesame seed oil on Saturdays.

Favorable Activities:

  • Make it an action-packed month. Be more active and use your determination to accomplish tasks associated with your goals, interests, hobbies, and education. Cultivate your mercurial qualities by giving a presentation, learning a new technology, taking training or furthering your education. Increase your business intelligence. Or even learn more about astrology.
  • Take some calculated risks that will move you forward towards your objectives.
  • Avoid conflicts with people. If you are angry, wait to cool off before you send an email or have an important conversation.
  • Express yourself through your hobbies and interests. Enjoy your sense of humor – laughing lets more light in and refreshes your positive mental outlook.

Important Upcoming Events This Week: Check the Pillai Center and the AstroVed Event Calendars for other upcoming events. Depending on where you live, the day of the week will be different.  Check the Panchang with your location to see when you should be observing the rituals.

AstroVed and Pillai Center offer “fire labs” on a regular basis.  What are fire labs?  Fire Lab, a term coined by Dr. Pillai, is based on the ritualistic practice of using fire, which is found in many cultures all over the world. Not limited to any one religion, it is a universal, multidimensional technology to communicate with non-physical intelligences. These are the Angels, Gods, and Goddess (Archetypes) that the prophets, messiahs, and seers of all religions were in contact with. The Archetypes were the supernatural source behind their healing miracles, their other-worldly intuition, and their power over the material world. The Fire Lab was, and still is considered to be the most powerful way to connect with these celestial beings, as fire is the bridge between physical and non-physical realities.

Sucharita also reminded everyone about the Shreem Brzee Initiations that are taking place in Toronto, (being given by Sucharita herself!) and Los Angeles and San Francisco (being given by Mohini). 13th Moon – Pradosham

The 13th Moon phase is called Pradosham, a karma-removing time. It has the special quality of dissolving negative debt karma. Karma is not just a metaphysical philosophy. It is real, and it wants to manifest into your life for better or worse. The planets trigger your karmic seeds that already exist. Clearing karma while it is in seed form is not difficult, but it requires being alert and focused. A lot of bad karma can be avoided just by staying conscious, but once a strong karma has taken root, then you need professional help. The 13th Moon (Pradosham) has the mystical powers to dissolve your karma. Participate in the karma-removal Pradosham rituals on on June 21, 2017 (IST). Learn more.

Thursday, June 22th @6:08 AM EST

Ganesha’s 14th Moon

Remember that Dr. Pillai has said that 2017 is continuing to be a year of Ganesha.  Ganesha is especially very powerful and present on the 4th and 14th moon phases. Call on him to remove your obstacles by chanting his mantra, Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha. Roll and break a coconut or lime(s) to remove obstacles and karma.  Learn how.
