How do we know what it is we are supposed to be doing in order to be happy and fulfilled? The soul knows, so we must learn to listen. We learn to listen through meditation. We contact the archetypes (Divine Beings) in our meditations. Today is Ganesha’s Birthday and he is the remover of all obstacles, seen and unseen. We contact Ganesha through the Muladara, or the root chakra at the base of the spine and also in the thalamic area in the middle of the brain by imagining a reddish-orangey light in those places. He is readily available for us, right now! When we just put our attention on him in any way, he is there.

Sunday, Sept. 4 – Monday, Sept. 5: Ganesha’s Birthday (Ganesha Chaturthi) Dr. Pillai announced Ganesha’s full descent into the Earth, and declared 2016 the “Year of Ganesha.”
At home, it will be very auspicious to offer Ganesha Ganesha Grass (Bermuda Grass), break a coconut for him and chant “Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha”.
