Shaking Up the Snow Globe

This week Sucharita reminded us that the 14th Moon starts Sunday, July 31st and go through Monday, August 1st at 5:45 pm EDT.  Dr. Pillai tells us to never forget that the 4th and the 14th moon are the times to propitiate Ganesha, the Remover of Obstacles, seen and unseen!  This is the time to offer Ganesha grass to this great Archetype and chant “Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha”.  She tells us we should be connecting with the “Shiny Beings” that surround us always.  These are Divine Beings that are here inside each of us to help us if we just call on them.

Monday Aug 1st IST Venus transits into Leo.  This can render people more vulnerable to problems regarding marriage and opposite-gender. Ego clashes between spouses or lovers can wreak havoc in relationships. Calling upon Archetype Lakshmi, the ruling deity of Venus, can work wonders for counteracting all the challenges of the transit. The Mahalakshmi Ashtakam (Hymn to Supreme Goddess of Wealth) mantra is a most potent way to attract her Grace. Learn more

Monday, August 2st at 5:45 pm EDT through Tuesday August 2nd at 4:44 pm EDT – Aadi Amavasya – Powerful New Moon to Connect with Your Ancestors.  On Aadi Amavasya, spirits are more willing and able to make a full crossing to the other worlds. They are especially satisfied and pleased when honored. When they cross over completely and successfully, they bring you many blessings and significant improvement in your life. Dr. Pillai says “The majority of your thoughts come from your ancestors and you can change them by honoring your connection with your ancestors. Every aspect of your life can be improved by looking at your relationship with your ancestors. There are only a few times when you can do this very successfully, and one such time is Aadi Amavasya.”

This festival is celebrated to seek protection against snake bites, snake afflictions and also call down the serpent blessings for the wellbeing of your children, family, fertility, and prosperity.  Check your birth chart to see if Rahu/Ketu is in the houses 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, you should be doing rituals to nullify their influences.  There are rituals offered at AstroVed.  Learn more
