Good Saturday morning fellow spiritual travelers! Sucharita welcomed us to the Powertime Practice call on January 25, 2020. We have now started a new year and we have hit the ground running! Time is precious and we are here to learn how use the power and energy behind time. Last week we learned that Saturn has just transited into Capricorn, his own sign, for three years. This is the natural 10th house, the house of career and work.
Sucharita invites us to pay attention to time. There is an app called Hora Watch that tells us what planet is controlling any hour of the day. You can get this app on the Apple or Google App Store.
The sun’s birthday is coming up on January 31. This is called Ratha Saptami. Chant Om Suryaya Namaha for the sun. The sun’s birthday coincides with the birthday of Dr. Pillai this year. Dr. Pillai is our spiritual guide and a satguru (a fully enlightened master). We have been attracted to him because in our souls, we have known that we have been with him many lifetimes! Chant the Gayatri mantra for the sun:

Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi

Sucharita shared a few of the times that we should pay attention to this week: tomorrow is Sunday and Ganesha’s energy is celebrated on Sundays, the 4th moon and the 14th moon. Tuesday is ruled by Ganesha’s brother, Lord Muruga, a spiritual warrior who carries a weapon called “vel” (a spear) and is the god of the third eye. Thursday is the 6th moon and is also associated with Muruga. Muruga can help us get rid of debt and diseases. He opens up the second chakra and this will help to birth that which we wish to manifest in this life. This is where our intuition is located. We must learn to move the kundalini up from this chakra to our third eye for self-realization!
Sucharita shows us a few yantras for the energies of the Gods that she has mentioned. A yantra is a metal plate with the symbols etched on that represent certain Gods and Goddesses. Learn more here about yantras: She showed us a special yantra with many Gods represented.

This is a peak day for absorbing the energies of Lord Muruga (a divine warrior/healer) and the planet Mars. Muruga specializes in solving problems such as credit card debt, legal issues, health problems, etc. Call on Muruga by chanting Om Saravana Bhava on this day and by pouring milk/juice/water over a vel.
