Namaste and good morning fellow spiritual travelers! Sucharita welcomed us warmly to this Powertime Practice Call, Saturday February 29, 2020 from Chennai, India. It’s leap year, so let’s leap into our spiritual endeavors! We are here to share Dr. Pillai’s latest and greatest teachings. He teaches it is important to understand the energies behind Time. Who influences the energies of time? The planets and stars do that! Today is Saturday, ruled by the planet Lord Saturn, the deliverer of karma. Lord Saturn makes us to go to the level of our soul and helps us to diffuse our karma. What is karma? Karma is a combination of all our thoughts and actions, as well as those of our ancestors. Sucharita mentioned a course at the Pillai Center Academy called “Soul Genetics.” She recommends everyone take this course to learn how to make an immediate connection with your ancestors!
27 February is an upcoming full moon, and this month it is associated with the Nakshatra (birthstar) called Magha. This star is related to the ancestors! This alignment is called Masi Magham and there will be a strong connection with the ancestors on this day.
The ancestors will be coming very close to the earth plane on this day and our thoughts will be influenced by them on this day. If we have a heads-up about this day before it arrives, we can appease these ancestors. We will be feeling the effects and thoughts from about six generations of ancestors and on this day, we want to get the blessings of those ancestors. They need us to pray to them, offer them things that we also need on the earth plane such as food, money, shelter, etc. We can do by offering them “tarpanam,” a mixture of white rice flour, black sesame, and water. Ask the ancestors to receive this offering and invite them to move along in the realms of the heavens on their own spiritual journey. We do not need to mention anyone’s name during this ritual. Sucharita tells us to do this only during the daylight hours. Ask for their blessings! We should actually be doing this offering every day! We can also be chanting Om Namashivaya for Shiva and Om Namo Narayanaya for Vishnu during this full moon to get tremendous blessings from our ancestors. If we look at our relatives, we may notice patterns of illness, trauma, addictions or even fabulous wealth. Why is that occurring? It’s the memory inside our genes from the ancestors that are influencing our thoughts and actions. We can help our living relatives as well as our ancestors and ourselves, through the offering of tarpanam. Here are the links to a yearlong program of ancestor offerings.

13TH MOON – KARMA BUSTING

The 13th Moon phase is called Pradosham, a karma-removing time. 1 1/2 hours before sunset through sunset is the most powerful time to pray to Shiva to dissolve your bad karma. Hydrate a Shivalinga by pouring water/milk/juice over it as you chant the karma busting mantra, Thiru Neela Kantam Makaral Shivayanama. Visualize blue light in your throat. Roll and break a coconut or lime(s) to remove karma.
14TH MOON – GANESHA REMOVES OBSTACLES

Ganesha is especially very powerful and present on the 4th and 14th moon phases. Call on him to remove your obstacles by chanting his mantra, Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha. Roll and break a coconut or lime(s) to remove obstacles and karma.
