Sucharita welcomed us all on the Powertime Practice call on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019—Winter Solstice in the northern hemisphere. The light is coming back and it is going to wake up our souls!

The divine archetype that we are connecting with this week is Lord Hanuman, the monkey god who is known as a “superman.” The earth plane is a school, and we need help navigating the lessons. Hanuman is a god with divine masculine energy and will give us strength and courage. Hanuman does not speak; he is an action god. He has a weapon called a gada which is a club or mace. This is a symbol which will help us to take risks to take us out of low self-esteem. Hanuman is an incarnation of Siva and plays a vital role in human evolution. He does the impossible every day by working miracles.

Hanuman is represented sometimes as having his foot on the chest of Lord Saturn. Lord Saturn is the god who doles out karma and makes our lives difficult sometimes. Hanuman can control the amount and type of karma that Saturn can be giving to us. Here is a story that tells how Hanuman controls Lord Saturn with his tail! Dr. Pillai says that understanding the archetype of Hanuman is essential for our entering into the new Golden Age on earth. Pillai Center Academy is offering Hanuman: Achieve the Impossible course. Pillai Center and AstroVed are both offering services to honor Hanuman on his birthday. Hanuman will help to bring the prana alive in each of us.

The New Moon is a time when the ancestors are close to the earth plane and is the best time to offer them tarpanam. (See the Power Time list below for a link on how to perform tarpanam). Lord Hanuman gives us the courage and strength to remember to do this offering.

Another alignment is occurring soon when the Moola star (the birth star of Hanuman) aligns with Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Jupiter; this will boost the blessings of Hanuman. There is a Rice Pudding ritual offered in Kerala by a Vedic priest to Hanuman. Your star energy will be activated with this ritual. After the offering to Hanuman, the priest offers this rice pudding to the needy ones in the area. This is a blessing for them as well as the giver. A garland of betel leaves and a garland of dumplings are also offered in these ceremonies. Sucharita told us the story of Rameshwaram, the place where Dr Pillai was born. You can chant or write Sri Rama Jayam 1008 times during this time. This mantra writing will be performed in India to honor Hanuman.

If you are going through 7½ years of Saturn, or if your birth chart is afflicted with Saturn, then honoring Lord Hanuman is essential for relief! Sucharita showed us many statues and images of Lord Hanuman which have been energized at powerspots in India for many months. She says that we should bring our palm together when we pray. The palms have many chakras which will help to open the 3rd eye when we activate them by bringing them together.

Another power time for Hanuman is Tuesday, ruled by Mars, a fiery god of war. Hanuman can give us the courage to be a spiritual warrior which will allow us to diffuse war-like energy. Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday are times to honor Hanuman. Here is the birth story of Hanuman.

We are approaching Christmas, the birth time of Jesus, who brought Christ Consciousness to the people of the earth. This is a perfect time to donate to the Tripura Foundation. There are gift cards you can purchase in the name of your loved ones and friends. This is a win/win opportunity to burn off karma. Here is the link to the gift cards.
