The Power of the Nine Sacred Nights: Connecting with the Divine During Navaratri
Generally speaking, the nights or the nighttime is a very powerful time to be in touch with the Divine. The Divine is active during the nighttime… If you want a scientific explanation for that, the 3rd eye, or the pineal gland, is more active and functional during this time. And the 3rd eye is the part of the brain that can put us in touch with the Divine.
So this Navaratri, which means the Nine Nights of the Goddess, is a sacred time. All these Nine Nights – The Divine comes into the earth plane. Particularly the Goddess, or the Goddesses that descend into this earth plane during the nighttime.
Dr. Pillai has shared his own experiences of witnessing the Goddess during midnight meditations:
I remember some years ago, I conducted the Navaratri Celebrations in India, and then we would do the meditations during midnight. And most of the time, people witnessed miracles of The Goddess coming in. There would be thunderstorms, lightning, and unbelievable signs of The Goddess descending. The reason I’m saying this is, that this is not just a superstitious celebration, but then something that is real. The time itself is sacred and there is proof of it.
At another time, that I was doing this program in the Bay Area, I would chant the mantra, and there would be another voice that was coming from nowhere, and people were freaking out. Where is that voice coming from? Whenever I chanted that sound, a mantra, and then another voice chanting the mantra along with me. So this is the time that is most important, and the Goddesses are available during this time.
The Forgotten Goddess: Reviving the Sacred Feminine Energy of Creation
The Goddess has been forgotten primarily in Western traditions. Basically, it’s Matriarchal; the Goddess is seldom recognized. But in many older civilizations or ancient civilizations, The Goddess played a very important role in nurturing the human beings not only in nurturing but also basically creating also the human beings. And she presides over creation, nurturing, maintenance, and truth.
So the Goddess, like the human females, is full of love, understanding, caring, and nurturing, except for the fact that they are a lot more powerful than human females. They are, in fact, even more powerful than the male. The male is not as powerful as the female, particularly in the Divine Realm. That demon has to be killed. There is literally no life for one who has come under poverty. So wealth is very important in everybody’s life, not only on the earth plane, but even in Heaven. If Lakshmi leaves that place, it will be devastated.
The Mantra that has been revealed to me for Lakshmi is ‘Brzee.’
