“I want you to live a 200% life: 100% spiritual and 100% material.” ~ Dr. Pillai

The Sun enters the Zodiac sign of Libra on October 17, 2019, in both North America and Asia. He will stay there until the middle of November.

Libra is an airy, masculine sign. It is symbolized by balance scales, the kind of scales used in the marketplace or bazaar to weigh out the value a merchant is offering to a customer to ensure fair value for both the seller and the buyer.

The Sun generously gives away his light freely to all. Whether someone is a monarch or a beggar, a crook or a saint, everyone gets the full amount of sunlight when they step outside. This is the reason the universally sharing Sun is not comfortable to be in Libra as that environment is more about careful balance and exact measurement.

Normally when the Sun is in Libra, he is said to be debilitated or weakened since he is so uncomfortable in that sign. However, at the moment Venus, the planet that rules Libra, is also sitting in Libra until October 27. It is said that when a debilitated planet (in this case the Sun) shares a sign with the planet who rules the sign (in this case Venus), that cancels the debilitation. So we will experience less of the Sun’s weak energy during his visit to Libra this year.

Time to Focus on Balance

The Sun in Libra, a Zodiac Sign of Balance

The Sun in Libra can illuminate the topics of fairness and balance in our lives. The Sun’s light can cause us to exam whether we currently maintain a steady focus on both the spiritual and the material areas of our lives. If we neglect either of these areas, our life becomes out of balance.

The image of the man in a bazaar with a balance scales also highlights the importance of paying attention to the commercial aspects of our life and how we handle our resources. This is a favorable time to consider if we are getting good value for the various decisions we make.  We may find ourselves evaluating ways to make wiser choices about our time, our energy and our money.

An ancient shrine in Jaipur, India has murals of the symbols of the Vedic Zodiac signs, and below is the mural for Libra. This mural contains all the elements of the classical description of the symbol for Libra. Contemplating the ancient symbol for Libra and reflecting on the topic of balance can inspire us to make some positive changes.

The Sun in Libra, a Sign Ruled by Venus: Good Time to Explore Shreem Brzee

Venus rules Libra, and Lakshmi, a feminine archetype associated with beauty, grace, purity and abundance, rules Venus. Dr. Pillai has taught that the quantum sounds Shreem Brzee activates our connection with the prosperity consciousness embodied by Lakshmi.

While the Sun is in Libra, it is a wonderful time to explore the sounds Shreem Brzee. Dr. Pillai has numerous free videos on YouTube about Shreem Brzee, and the Pillai Center channel has organized some of them into a Shreem Brzee playlist. Learning to work with Shreem Brzee can help us in manifesting our positive desires and to experience more comfort in our material life.

The Sun in Libra: A Time to Be Mindful with Relationships

During the Sun’s stay in Libra, some people may face challenges in relationships and be less willing to make the efforts to be gracious or compromise with their partner for mutual benefit. Some people may struggle more with trying to rely on self-reliance rather than working in cooperation with others. Some people may simply be irritated and frustrated by a lack of harmony in their home environment or workplace.

Pillai Center Academy offers a Relationships Course with material from Dr. Pillai’s Personal Transformation Program. This can give practical guidance to anyone who experiences Sun in Libra highlighting a need for more balance in relationships.

For all of us, this is a good time to especially hold a focus on love of peaceful actions and be extra patient with everyone.

The Sun in Libra, 2019

A gentle reminder that all the planets, including the Sun, like it when we perform acts of compassion. It is always a good gesture to do an act of kindness for others such as feed a hungry person or help an elderly or a disabled person or make a donation to Dr. Pillai’s charity Tripura Foundation or any other charity of our choice.  Right now, Tripura Foundation is accepting donations for gifts they do for needy children and others for Diwali 2019, an upcoming festival that highlights the triumph of goodness over evil, light over darkness, and hope over despair.

May the Sun’s stay in Libra prompt us to examine balance in our lives. May we use this time to improve our relationships with others. May the Sun guide us to be more respectful with our time, our energy and our money.

May light encompass all,
