  5. Time to Get Grounded:...

The Sun changes Zodiac signs once a month, in the middle of the month. This year in North America and India, the Sun moves into Taurus on May 15, 2019.

Taurus is an earthy, feminine sign, and it is one of the four “fixed” Zodiac signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) that have a very stable energy.

Whenever the Sun enters a fixed sign, there are special energies available for wealth creation and long-lasting prosperity. The day of the Sun’s entrance into a fixed sign is celebrated with a festival called Vishnupati in which the wealth-creation energies of the archetype Vishnu are invoked with ceremonies and prayers.

Dr. Pillai has explained that this is a wealth-creation Gayatri mantra for Vishnu. Everyone has permission to use it. While it is especially effective on Vishnupati days, it can be used anytime:

Om Narayanaya Vidh Mahe

Vasu Devaya Dhi Mahi

Tanno Vishnu Prachodayat

Impact of Transit of the Sun in Taurus: Earth Sign Symbolized by a Bull

Each of the Zodiac signs is associated with an element. Taurus is associated with the Earth element. While the Sun is in Taurus (between mid-May to mid-June) is a good time to literally get “grounded.”

If weather allows, we may wish to take some barefoot walks on a sandy beach, spend some time enjoying walking on the grass, hiking on a trail, working in a garden, or potting some plants. Touching or interacting with the Earth element in some way is very favorable during this time of the Sun’s visit in Taurus. Reconnecting consciously with Earth energy helps us become realistic and stable.

The Sun’s passage through Taurus lights up the topic of finance for many people. Taurus is represented by a bull, an animal with four feet firmly on the ground. The energies of this sign are considered both grounded and luxury loving. The Wall Street area in New York City has a famous bull statue in the financial district that embodies the symbol of Taurus energy very well.

The Sun in Taurus is a good window of opportunity to double check that we are handling our finances and material concerns with proper care. The bull has reliable strength and endurance to stay the course to accomplish goals. The ground the bull stands on symbolizes the Earth and its fertility and beauty. Auspicious things of the Earth include gold and other forms of practical prosperity.

The Sun in Taurus can help us appreciate stability, fondness for luxury, interest in commercial success, realistic outlook, love and enjoyment of beauty and wealth. This is a time to renew willingness to take good care of possessions.

Sun in Taurus: Good Time to Connect with Areas Associated with Venus

Taurus is a sign ruled by Venus. Venus is the planet of our conscious desires, so it is a good time to be honest with ourselves about our true ambitions and goals. We can ask the Sun to light up our positive, heart-felt desires.

Venus is the planet that helps us enjoy a beautiful environment. This is a favorable time to make improvements in the beauty of our surroundings, even small changes that enhance our sensual enjoyment.

This is a good period to appreciate beautiful scent, perfume or flowers. Some people may enjoy visiting botanical gardens, flower shows, or plant nurseries. Some people may put flowers in their bedroom, their office, on their altar, or other space that they frequently use.

Venus is the planet of beauty. The Sun in Taurus is also an auspicious time to enjoy nice clothes and nice appearance, to take some time to dress with care and to have some fun with fashion or jewelry.

This is a time that makes it easier to be proactive to do exercise that helps our bodies feel better.

Venus rules all the areas of the arts. The Sun in Taurus is a wonderful time to enjoy anything connected with the arts.

We can make an effort to actively participate in music, film, dance, poetry, theater, etc. either as a performer or as an audience member. We can seek out forms of art that uplift the soul and provide us fresh inspiration. We can try out something related to the arts that we have not done before. We can support our family or friends who may be performing in some way.

We can refresh our own creativity in writing a journal or a poem or picking up some art supplies and creating something with them just for fun.
